Just watching cartoons does not distinguish you in any group! We've covered that pages ago. :derpe: However, MLP and LPS fan art are sub catagories of the whole "furry conglomerfandom". Furry does not immediately equal fursuits. (Though, side-note, I am getting an Eight Star suit made.)
Not all furries own fursuits, I think that was pretty much explained on the first page as the opening for this thread. It is still a cool thing to do, and there is nothing wrong with it. I bet you guys have heard something called cosplaying, fursuiting could be considered as part of that although unlike a cosplay... fursuits are based on personal OCs rather than existing characters. Now LIKING MLP OR ANY OTHER CARTOON DOESN'T MAKE YOU A FURRY just a person with a certain type of interest, so there isn't much of a point to go over that again. Now, I don't have a R34 folder, mine is called *squee!*. do I use it? no, I just really like how much detail has gone into some of those pics and deserve some praise. Furries and Bronies watch some really creepy stuff, I mean... other sites, that start with an e and end with a 1 are flooded with ponies! which is sort of annoying actually, so nope... furries aren't the only ones.
I've seen those things, and yes, I meant creepy as Nezumi's art work or other artists I can't really think of at as of right now. I love those tags by the way, but it was just to make a point... not just furries see NSFW material so there would be no point to discriminate against them on that basis.
Liking a cartoon doesn't catagorize you. It's becomming a devoted fan and entering into the communities that does.
can i ask why so many bronies worry about furries. i mean dude im both a brony and a furry. im not a freak and im not a horribble person. im actually a normal person who happens to be a fan of both mlp as well as the idea of animals that have human traits. i also am a scifi nerd and like computers and none of that makes me weird so what is all the stigmatta where people throw a fit about furries. those people are worse than the antigay types. anyhoo im just tryin to understand why people want to hate whats diffrent when the truth is those of us who enjoy fandoms are generally happier because we dont spend so much time trying to out someone for being diffrent but instead like proper inteligent adults we accept them.
HHHHHHNNNNNG. You can ask when you CAPITALIZE and spell things correctly!!! I'm all for opinions, but NO. Those are the worst of the worst.
My two cents here: I've been a furry for a while, albeit unknowingly until I began to explore the internet and uncover what it all meant. I think it's mostly to do with all the awesome animal characters I grew up around as a kid. Rather than play pirates or cowboys or whatever, I'd prefer to be an animal, like a wolf, a deer, and in one case I remember pretending to be a kangaroo lol. As I've grown up however, I've become more and more involved with the community, primarily the pony/equine sector of it of course. MLP was just a road to discovering the furry community and how expressive it actually is. Personally I love the design of anthropomorphic characters, can't get enough of them, especially pony and cow OCs. Just so goddamn cute and beautiful at times. I really wish I was more of an artist, because I'd love to just sketch out a proper furry OC. Mostly I'm a fan of MLP, the furry stuff is a new experience I'm entering into and still discovering at the moment.
The name "furry" reminds me of a fluffy bunny. That's about all I have to say. Also, I don't care what people call me.
I am anti-furry, just as I am anti-otaku, anti-brony, anti-Trekkie, anti-Whovian, anti-autism, anti-communist, anti-socialist, anti-rainbow and anti-intelligence. And then he falls to his death. I'm just foolin'. Seriously, do what you have to do, furriez. Also, I consider bronies to be furries. I consider brony cosplayers to especially be furries. Why, you ask? Because ponies are animals. Their speech and behaviour resembles that of a human, leading me to believe that they are anthropomorphic. If they are indeed anthropomorphic followers of MLP are therefore furries. That's horribly judgmental. As in, improperly so. I don't consider myself to be a part of any fandom, but I accept (most) people, no matter what their interests. Unless they verge on creepy, in which case, I must ask them to stop being creepy. I expect most people I know are the same. Also, your spelling and grammar in that entire text effectively renders those last few words redundant.
Wow, I didn't really think I knew what a Furry was until now. Or, I have a better idea of what a furry is.
