Hello. My name is Whirring Gears. I've been in the fandom since season one and have been writing pony fanfiction for a little over a year now. I specialize in 2nd person perspective romance (which I know has a sort of bad reputation. If it's inappropriate for this forum, tell me now and this will be the only time I mention it). I also do a little art. Nothing much to show yet, but hoping to be able to draw more. I've been looking around for more communities to be able to put myself out there, so I hope you guys don't mind me here. I'm a bit curious about roleplaying, haven't really tried it yet. Mostly here for stories, art, and general interaction. Nice to meet all of you!

Hello Whirring Gears, and welcome to EP. Surely you mean 3rd person perspective? As in he/she? 2nd person would be you, and that sounds a bit unorthodox to me. Nevertheless, I hope you will enjoy your time here on EP.
Thank you all again for the welcoming words. Actually, I do mean 2nd person where the main character is described as 'you' as a way to engage the reader. It was a style that gained popularity from a couple different sources in pony-writing and there are some very successful authors who use it.
Oh. I guess I'm just very removed from the fanfiction universe then. The only ones I've read lately have been ones I already knew to be hilariously bad.
