AJ has brushable toys. She has blind bag stuff too. She overall seems to get the short end of the stick. I could be wrong on the plush. The first 3 were twi, pinkie and Dash. Then months later I saw fluttershy and a week later Rarity. So maybe I just haven't seen it yet. I still blame her writing for her lack of support.
its not written in american... foreign toy sales never get mlp right to begin with. i once saw a dollar store type place shown online having cheap generic toy ponies (i dont even think they had a cutie mark) and the box clearly had mlp fim characters on it, but no other names or logos related to hasbro, or mlp whatsoever basicly ignore this, hasbro is prolly only involved with this foreign store as far as accepting the check and stamping a generic signature across the copyright forms to leth toy sales happen, they never ever make the toys anywhere near as cool as the show they are based off of and lack of bronies in ceo offices has caused a lack of care from ad companies who know most 5 year olds wont notice one missing character. on top of everything applejack is only missing because she is a tomboy and not a pretty easily broken princess type. personally the strong self reliant workhorse type girls are much more attractive to me than someone wearing a crown and pink dress, sorry i just take personality over looks anyday, even tho luna is still my fave princess of the night it is because her story is touching and she honestly seems like an awesome girl to know
Applejack's the least popular character (little girls don't want to grow up to be dirty farmers.) Her toys just sit there. She's lucky which show she's in or else they'd kill her off. Cadance was actually not that popular either. Twilight is the most popular Princess but hell, she was the most popular before she was a Princess anyway. Not counting her, the most popular Princess is actually Luna. No one can figure out why. Hasbro was afraid little girls would be scared of her.
The toys are the least relevant part of "Friendship is Magic". Little girls are now buying "Monster High" dolls, they don't buy Pony toys nor they ever had. And the bronies don't buy the toys. I know Hasbro is primarly a toy company, but toy-wise, "Friendship is Magic" is not nearly as sucessful as their "G.I. Joe" and "Transformers" franchises.
People who like AJ wont care about that, and those who do, shouldn't. And about the toy itself, Hasbro always cared about the money the most. Obviously they will sell toys that have more chance to be bought by the targeted customer(little girls)
