Love them or hate them, I think we need a section dedicated to them. I am an addict, and I am sure there is another pony who would agree. It could really add some spice to the forums and perhaps even attract some new ponies? I know it would keep me more active at the very least.

It's a pr-emade image. For here, it would be OC ponies all-ready for their new homes!

I tend to like to find these lonely ponies and give them new life, I am a bit of an addict if I don't say so myself.

There is also a thing called custom adoptables, which is usually pre-determined line art with your choice of colours and designs!

I think it's probably going to be too much of a hassle. plus they'll probably be very little interest with a few ponies interested here and there.

    How so?

I would see it as a benefit. Adoptables are popular, and MLP adoptables even more so. We may not have a lot of people on the forums right now, but it would just be another way to attract new ponies here.

Honestly I've never heard of them before.

Seeing as how they prolly have limited appeal on this site, instead of making a whole new section why not just make an "Adoptables" thread?

Essentially this. The creative section is pretty much ripe for the picking, so the speak, with an idea such as this.

I really should make some adoptables.

I don't think one thread would be able to hold all adoptables. Maybe a sub-section? (That's more or less what I was going for) People make different ponies, different prices, free, customs. One thread just does not seem right for it.

I'd probably consider the idea more if it was a reoccurring trend seen on the site to be honest, I mean, don't get me wrong, I like it. The only problem is adding too many subsections would result in a very 'cluttered' look, so to speak.

A similar example can be seen with the "Ask Me" subsection, while it wouldn't have normally gotten it's own thing initially, people began to show a big enough interest and began to make these Ask threads all over the place, so there was a sort of need to do so.

If more people would be willing to start making adoptables, then yeah, totally, I'm all for it, but for now, let's keep it in the Creative section and let it grow.

    Sounds like a plan then.

I was the first ask thread. YOLO

Anyway, adoptables are cool, the idea is neat, but don't most people sell them. Are we even allowed to sell things like that here?

    I'd assume it'd be charity.

God knows I'll be contributing to help stop the rampant onslaught of terrible OCs.
Granted, my OCs aren't really much to boast about, but they're not bad either.

Haha, I think adoptables inspire people too. One of the many great things about them. :twi:

Oh, aren't we allowed to post commission-based items? I guess that explains why I haven't seen any.

Advertising isn't allowed on the site unless you're an affiliate. Selling via the site would count in that category.

No longer for me to decide but most likely no. There's nothing the site's staff can do if someone gets screwed over with an agreement that the seller did not fulfill.
