^ This. I made the mistake of telling a co-worker that I listened to metal and he always razzed me for listening to 'devil music' and how wrong I was. I don't count that as bullying but rather, being a total pest. I am easily annoyed by crap like that.
Should such things even be a issue. It's a show or anything. Why do people always make big deals over things.

Breaking societal norms always leads you to being labelled stigmatic by those who mindlessly fall in line. That's why they hate us. Especially since some relate to and identify with us. It's not shame if you acknowledge the triviality of it. It's strategic.
