I've been toying with the idea of letting Earth Ponies use magic for a while now. I think it would be cool! Of course, they couldn't get NEW spells. But their cutie mark could give them access to one spell, two maximum, instead of a normal cutie mark stat boost to something. And of course, they would not be a new class, they could still be any other type of class.

A sound idea... Perhaps spells that aren't directly extroverted? Like limited to gazes, auras, target only one thing...
Rituals, Alchemy, Runes... I would think it could be anything that's not innate, like telekinesis, or pyromancy.

The totals should add up to 30. Yours adds up to 36. You made an easy mistake with thinking the racial, in this case 6 willpower, is added after. The racial is actually the first thing totaled. Take 6 points off and you should be good. ^^
The way I think of it is, the racial stats are the Minimum that that race can have. Makes things easier.
