After you're done check out fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood. If you thought the original was good then this one will blow your socks off.

Indeed. Before full metal alchemist brotherhood it was just full metal alchemist. If you're watching brotherhood though don't bother with the original, brotherhood is far superior. Some more anime to check out: Elfen Lied, Dragonball/z/gt, Bleach, Samurai X, Samurai Champloo

Yes it's incredibly gorey and morbid, but that's why I like it. It's incredibly deep and I just like that kind of stuff.
The King of Queens, American Dad, South Park, The Simpsons, The Inbetweeners, Father Ted, Fawlty Towers. I also like to watch some of my favourites from childhood on Youtube. I've been tracking down all my favourite shows of old, and hopefully some day they are something I can pass down to my own so they can enjoy the truly great shows I did. Some of them are Hey Arnold! Moomin, The Angry Beavers, Little Bear, The Adventures of Blinky Bill and Timothy Goes to School. Basically, I'm reliving my Saturday mornings in my spare time! I think next on the agenda could be Cardcaptors, the show that featured my very first crush as a little kid. I can only hope I never come across any Rule 34 material of Sakura, or else that's one of the few remaining shreds of innocence from my childgood gone forever! Curse you internet.
It really isn't. It's just really good at manipulating its audience. I absolutely loved it, until I turned my brain back on and thought about it. Then I felt kind of cheated. Great soundtrack, though. That is not to say you don't think if you enjoy it. I just felt like it pretended to be deeper than it is. Eh, different tastes I guess. I actually know a person who dislikes Madoka Magica.
I used to watch Magi, like, religiously but then the anime ended Goshie, I surely do hope that season 2 comes out soon!
