Rosenburg winced at the harsh clattering sound of metal hitting the floor, but kept his gaze level. "Hello there, are you okay?" he asked the figure in front of him. It was another pegasus mare, this one sporting a red coat. She seemed to relax considerably at his appearance.
Tyler waited in anticipation. Tyler was told to stay back but in his mind he wanted to run ahead while screaming "LEROY JENKINS' but tyler did what he was told and stayed back.
Timestopper pressed a button on each of the shields and steel plates came out of each side of the shield, making the shield cover both Tyler and himself
Julion locked eyes on one particular landmark that seemed to just barely stand out, "That looks like a good Stable location, let's check it out. His helmet covered his head again, and after choosing a few settings, the Heads-Up Display generated a virtual keyboard, on which he typed an order to Snipes saying to come on up to cover any door that they found. Julion then lead his three troops towards the suspicious landmark, the four almost simulataneously activating the stealth mode on their armor. Snipes was about to respond to Sheild when a message appeared on her helmet's HUD, "Hold that thought rookie, this may not be over yet." She told him as she did the head gesture to open the message, "Let's see...Possibile Stable location, going to check it out, move forward and protect any door found. If no door is found, then regroup. Discretion is advised, who knows what could have been attracted by the firefight. "Alright, looks like we're moving on, turn on your suit's stealth mode, and try not to bumb into anything big, or yell." Snipes told Sheild as she hit the pointed to the Stealth button on the C.A.D.S. before activating her own, "Your suit's HUD should tell you where I am, but to any detection system, we are invisible, be it thermal, optical, or even RADAR and LADAR." Snipes voiced echoed in Sheild's helmet.
"Oh wait really?" Tyler said shocked "Grab something white and wave it so that they know we arent hostile" Tyler said worried while making waving hand movements. Tyler started to crawl on the ground to avoid being shot.
(Hey guys, this isn't a Chat RP, could you please be more descriptive than just "I walk on to the battlefeild", it helps prevent clutter and condense pages. Just a suggestion)
"I'm fine, thank you... Was it you who activated my pod?" Haze scanned the virtually empty room. "And where're the others, I thought vaults were meant to hold a thousand people? Have they left already?"
Rosenburg glanced around too. "I think I activated your pod. I'm not really sure." He looked back to the mare. "I don't think this vault is...well, a vault. At least, not one of the Stables you're probably thinking of. It looks more... decrepit, like it hasn't been used for decades."
He nodded and looked around. He'd never used a HUD before. Normally he'd just relied on his senses. He was, however, familiar with the stealth mode. He'd made used of stealthbucks before. They really came in handy when he needed to get into positions that were guarded. One time, he'd even used one to sneak up on a guard tower, right next to the guard on it, to kill a random pony to start a war. It had worked, and he'd been paid handsomely. He followed Snipes to the location. The smells of the battlefield were beginning to reach their position. Cordite and blood always had the most peculiar smells, though he himself was no stranger to them. He looked at one body and snuck over to it. He managed to scavenge a few bullets off of it before returning to following Snipes. He looked her over in her armor. It was very intimidating looking. Probably why they all wore the same. He wondered if he'd be working with her more, or going solo. So many questions buzzed around in his head. He remembered he was on a job and shook the thoughts out. Now was not the time to reminisce about the past or the future. Got to focus on here and now.
Timestopper lifted his head above his shield "I don't think anypony is here" Timestopper pressed the buttons on his shields and the steel plates slowly went back into place. When the plates were back in place Timestopper put the 2 shields back on his back
Haze thought. It was probably a very long time since she was put in that pod, though it seemed only seconds ago... "What year is it? Is the war over? are we alone?"
Julion's HUD suddenly highlighted an irregularity in the hill he was approaching. Using a built in scanner meant to find enemies behind cover, a massive structure within the hill, and one bright spot where a pony was. Julion motioned towards the door, fully certain that the stealth abilities of the armor made sure they were invisible to any detection system that pony had. They approached the door and quickly breached it, with Julion taking the lead, Silent Death and Head Hunter floating invisibly close to his sides, ready for anything. He used the scanner's map to lead the way to the pony the scanner had picked up, and also quietly thanking the Pre-War tech for being just so damned useful for everything. Snipes and Sheild arrived at the hill's door around when Julion's group was halfway through the maze of hallways within. "We'll set up a defensive position here. Keep an eye out for anything." Snipes told Sheild through the headset, "And you might as well get comfortable, we might be here awhile."
He nodded and laid down prone, pulling his sniper rifle up in front of him. He hit the helmet button on his C.A.D.S. He couldn't take wearing that helmet anymore. Too restricting-feeling. He looked down the scope, checking the immediate area around the door, then scanning sectors. "So Snipes, how long have you been with the Commandos?" He decided that since he was going to be working with her, he might as well know a little bit about her. He didn't even know what she looked like, though he guessed it didn't really matter, as long as she could shoot. He had to guess her cutiemark was a set of cross-hairs or a rifle scope. Something to do with snipers.
