Okay I am sick of these people for any of you who dont know who the Westboro Baptist Church are they are basically a church that hates gays because they say that God hates the gays but thats not the only bad thing they also hate on funerals... OF DEAD SOLDIERS these people are scum and I think the world would be better off without them. For more info Google Westboro Baptist Church or just Youtube the name and I guarantee that you will hate them. Please tell me I am not the only one with this opinion.
Psychotic whackos, all of them. Brainwashing kids to follow their extremist beleifs is nothing new, regarding most religions, but Westboro are just blatant idiots about them. I'm glad one of their neighbors painted his own house in rainbows, just to tick them off.
Actually, the rainbow house is going to be used as a LGBT advocacy center. Which is, of course, HILARIOUS.
Here's the best idea. Just stop. Pay no attention to them at all. Of course that's hard to do when they are probably the worst people in 'merica.
bunch of attention seekers, they are. I would like to fly over there and attend one of their protests, but kissing lots of people of the same gender.
There's a better idea. This one guy uses the WBC as a fundraiser. When they show up he starts collecting money to send to LGBT groups of some kind. He people that donate can send a thank you note to Fred phelps for letting it happen. I also thing the money is sent to the organizations of the behalf of WBC.
A religious hate group so awful they aren't even allowed in certain countries. No one else wants their stupidity or their brainwashing ways.
Despicable people, they are using the protection of freedom of speech so they can continuously spout their hate speech. They are also attention seekers. Who are they to say what God thinks of one's homosexuality too? Do they have a direct line to the man they worship? Morons.
Dudeys, attention is what these people crave- Doughnut give it to them. I doubt they're serious. Just a lil' screwed up's all.
They are deadly serious, but they are serious as a result of being screwed up. The WBC is brainwash central.
Media Hoes ahoy! They shouldn't be taken seriously. If they were ignored like all those other wacky cults, they wouldn't have the money and influence to be such a big pain in the butthole.
I hope you all know that most people in the church are lawyers and financial backers, not actual Christians.
After first hearing about them on the documentary called Louie Theraux on America's most hated family. I've always had a deep hatred at them. Even the Ku Klux Klan want to distance themselves from them and call them hatemongers. finally when searching online I saw this list of parodies and counter protests against the WBC. Spoiler: Parodies A slogan commonly invoked at the counter protests is "God hates figs". Parodying the WBC all-capitals "God hates *squee!*s" signs, the counter-protest signs often invoke a passage in the Biblical book of Matthew to justify the claim about God and his feelings about figs. The signs have been noted at counter-protests at the University of Chicago; in Spartanburg, South Carolina; The use of the signs Documentation given out at various counter-protests cite biblical verses in which Jesus says that none should eat the fruit of a fig tree (Mark 11:12–14), in which Jesus causes a fig tree to wither (Matthew 21:18–20), and in which God promises, as a punishment, to make someone like bad figs (Jeremiah 29:17). These are genuine citations, but are not the sole mentions of figs in the Bible. Other sites and organizations have parodied the slogans of the Westboro Baptist Church, include God Hates Bags, and God Hates Shrimp. Spoiler: Counter protests On February 24, 2011, hacktivists successfully took Westboro Baptist Church's websites down. The church claims this was the work of Anonymous, but the group denied responsibility, instead identifying The Jester as the culprit. During a live TV confrontation on The David Pakman Show between Shirley Phelps-Roper and Topiary of LulzSec, Phelps-Roper stated that Anonymous could not "stop God's message". In response, Topiary and an accomplice seized control of one of Westboro's subdomains during the confrontation. On September 16, 2011, when Westboro members picketed a Foo Fighters concert in Kansas City, Missouri, the band appeared on a truck float in front of the protesters. Dressed in homo-erotic outfits, they performed their country-parody song "Keep It Clean" – which contained many homosexual references and overtones – from their "Hot Buns" viral video; midway though the song, lead singer Dave Grohl made a speech calling for equality and tolerance. The band uploaded a video of the impromptu performance the next day on their YouTube channel. After Westboro announced plans to picket funerals of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting on December 14, 2012, hacktivists from Anonymous executed a DDOS on the website of the Westboro Baptist Church, GodHates*squee!*s.com, stating: “We will continuously DDOS until they are forced to put their inbred church tithes to use to pay for bandwidth. Anonymous also simultaneously released a Westboro membership list, with the personal contact information for most Westboro members.
Attention everybody. Do this. Just stop paying attention to them. They are the new PETA; they just do outrageous stunts for publicity because in America there is no such thing as bad publicity. The more you talk about them the more publicity they get. Do not give them what they want.
