OK, so RD really pissed me off so, in a rage, I shaved her mane and tail off!!! HAHA, Now that I have your attention, I did in fact de-mane my brushable RD and now I am torn between sculpting HER mane and tail or painting her green and sculpting a new one to make her into one of my OCs named Wild Awry. Wild is my favorite of my OCs so what do you think? BTW... this is what Wild looks like.
I was just kidding. I could never get pissed off at Dashie. I actually bought the figure to customize it. I was still debating at the time whether to do HER hair or make her into Wild so I just crammed her in a drawer and shaved her when I got some free time. I finally got her head off so she's sitting decapitated in the drawer again until I get some time to paint her. I'm working on a model car right now so it may be a while but I will get to her soon hopefully.
UPDATE!!! I finally started on Wild a few days ago!! I'm using Crayola clay for her hair. I'm letting them cure for now so it will take at least a week before I can paint her. Spoiler: Anyway, here's what I've got.
Just got the first coat of acrylic on Wild's body. It looks terrible, as most first coats do, so I will apply a second coat tomorrow. I might do a third but it depends on how well the second turns out. Also, I used a toothpick to paint around the eyes so I won't have to redo those.
DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Somepony PLEASE remind me to never use that crappy acrylic from Wal-Mart!!!!!!!!!! I went to paint Wild's cutie mark and that stuff was globby as hell!!!!!! I had to scratch it off and repaint her entire left flank and TRY to blend it to where there wasn't a crater!! - - Auto Merge - - EDIT: OK, my quick fix worked. Now I just have to figure a way to do her cutie mark without screwing it up again.
Update: After a bit of a break and some serious hammering over the last 2 days, Wild is 99.99% done!! As soon as the glue dries, I'll post some pics!!! SO EXCITED!!
Have you been taking in progress pics? It'd be cool to see her as she was being created at the different stages. A bit late to mention it now, but maybe you did snap some photos in between?
