Today’s featured content is by a relatively new member, Kitty Kate! On February 16th, 2013, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic’s third season ended with the airing of its thirteenth episode. Songs were sung, parties were thrown, and liquid pride was shed. Now, however, the finale has passed, and people have already begun speculating on where the show is headed. Before we get too caught up in arguing about the future, it might pay to slow down and take a more in-depth look at the past, especially in the wake of the last episode—”Magical Mystery Cure.” http://www.roundstable.com/2013/02/21/the-long-and-winding-road-of-friendship/
Hooray for similar opinions, man. Brohoof /) Glad you thought so. I wanted to make sure I put down this review without leaving any loose ends that could be misinterpreted. Thanks for the feedback l3
new to this so only watched it couple days ago, thought the episode was great, the music in it was just perfect! my only problem is that i still feel it should've been in two parts! one for the cutie marks then the other for twilight! but yeh only problem!
I just watched the episode again last night, and I have some questions about it. 1) Twilight told Spike that their memories are not what they've lost, but they have forgotten who they truly are. But then, wouldn't they remember what they used to do? If so, then they should remember who they used to be, how their lives were, and who they truly are. 2) A cutie mark appears when a pony discovers who they really are, right? Generally, the cutie mark is a reflection of their special talent. So, wouldn't they be GOOD at what their cutie marks got switched with? 3) If Starswirl The Bearded's was an intellectual unicorn, before the storyline, and his spell switches the EoH around, wouldn't he have been the previous wearer of the Element of Magic?
Starswirl lacked knowledge of friendship and what it means which is why his magic failed. I doubt he had anything at all to do with the elements of harmony. Especially if you consider he lived in the days of Celestia and Luna back when only they were connected to them.
Further observations on Twilight. I'm not sure if they're animation errors because it's apparent in multiple situations. Twilight's cutie mark symbol is shown to have 6 surrounding stars instead of 5 after her final realization of true friendship and becoming a princess. I think it might have some significance. How could they screw it up that many times? Her actual mark does remain unchanged.
