I find that very weird considering he was made up for a contest on the somethingawful forum.

But you're free to do what you want, there's certainly much worse out there that's considered sane.

Well guys just think about it the only thing different between God and Slenderman are that they are on different sides. God is the symbol of a great and nice man and Slenderman is a symbol of an evil and demonic beast but other than that they are pretty much the same because both of them are EXTREMELY powerful and they both cant be killed. So in a way slenderman is like god

Would you worship something as your god, just because it can't be killed?

^Yup, granted that gods are made up.

And on the topic of gods... Even if gods are nothing but collective mental constructs made up by men (which is probabely the case) I still think they are real in a way.

Jungian achetypes like 'the wise man', 'the trickster', 'the great mother', 'the hero' can be traced in many cultures throughout the world, and are worshipped/venerated in many different forms.

Gods and mythology have always helped us in understanding certain hidden parts of our psyche, in a more spiritual way than science could ever offer.

Of course trouble starts brewing when people get too protective of their own dogma. But I don't think religion is something dumb that we need to get rid of. Maybe we just need to grow up as a species.

I have but sometimes it's fun to respond in hyperbole. It added pizazz.

Gifs are the answer to all of life's questions. We should follow the way of the gif. I name myself Giffy Pope, and Snow my Gif Cardinal.

I have nothing against any religion but my mother forces me to go to church and I honestly don't believe any of it... My opinion on this subject is that an atheist is merely a person who needs no means of incisive support

Well, an Atheist is a person who doesn't believe in ay deity or deities. That's the most common definition.

And a Jew is a man capable of infinite thought with dependence upon his almighty pork god.

Don't get too philosophical is what I'm trying to say.

this forums seems to be very interesting. I don`t talk about religion very much. here (in Argentina) different religion isn`t something very important when we meet or talk with someone. and it isn`t a very touch subject either. (I hope I wrote that right)
