I haven't really told my family since it's never come up in a conversation and there's really no need to.

I don't have a problem with it, I love people's reactions good or bad, by wearing a fluttershy yay shirt, I gained friends that will last a very long time. Becoming more open gave me new opportunities to be more social, (which I wasn't at first)

I told everyone about a week after joining the herd. All of my friends and family seemed cool with it but one of my friends stopped being my friend once i told him. I thought that I didn't need a friend who would judge me because of a tv show.

I was nervous about ppl knowing, but most ppl who know me, know that I am a Pegasister. My mom was negative about it at first, but is now ok, and is even watching it (keep in mind, she use to see the 80s version when she was younger), most of my friends either are ok with it, became bronies themselves cause of me, or where bronies prior to meeting me, and our mutual bronyism made us friends. My aunt isn't bothered by it, but she never asks me about the show or shows any interests to learn about it. (My aunt is pretty conservative, and use to be even more conservative in the past). As far as people in Tulsa, no one has blatantly shown disaffection towards me cause of it. I get a few people complimenting me when I wear my brony hat. The most negative reaction I will get is a frown. Like someone earlier said, I am me and why should I change myself to appeal to people who have a predetermine mindset of what's alright and what's not. Being a brony is not like being a terrorist, a violent gang or a hate group, so it should really offend people. Just like me be me and they can be them and do what they need to do.

You do you and I do me (and maybe occasionally my ex lol.)

I suck at lying!!! The only person who knows is my mom. I said it in the form of a question, "Do you think it's weird for a grown man to watch My Little Pony?" She's not as judgmental as my stepdad. The last person I would ever tell would be my real dad. He watches Spongebob and has no problem admitting it. By virtue of that alone, he would view it as not that big a deal and bring it up without question. He's pretty good at embarrassing people.:sigh:

I'm usually the one to tell them, so I'm perfectly fine with it. If they have an issue, it's their issue and not my problem. That's not to say I shove it down their throats, but I don't hide it, I openly wear pony attire, etc.

I am kind of a closet Brony. The only reason I say " Kind of " is because I tell people. People find out, I told my parents, almost all my friends, anyone who has ever seen my face book page and co workers. But, I never wear Pony clothes in public. My parents have put it in my mind that whenever I wear shirts with animated characters on them in public I am immediately a "Pedophile" :rolls eyes:

The first one who found me out was my bf, and he still thinks it's super annoying whenever i barely mention something pony related. It kinda gets to me, but I'm not trying to piss him off. Oh well, as for other people, my friends at the Pokemon League in Bergen doesn't care, and my "student friends" (they're not really friends, i just have to work with them) don't even know what a brony is, 'cause they're so stuck up in themselves and their future and the importance of their studies that...urgh, let's just say i don't talk a lot to them x3 Other then that I'm very open if people find out I'm a brony, and if they have a problem with that i just don't care and stay away from them, or at least doesn't mention anything pony related when I'm around them.

Maybe I should of been more specific. I meant stuff like Friendship Is Magic, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Angry Beavers, etc.etc. the kind of stuff that my parents think are just for young people and that's it.

Because it's a cartoon that's completely clean with its content, it therefore can't be enjoyed by anyone other than little kids, correct? Oh parent logic.

I frankly don't know why. All that they have said is people will judge me for wearing stuff like that. But, I truly don't understand what people will actually think if they see me wearing a shirt. Way I see it, it says I "really like this show" but whatever, it's not worth fighting with them about it, I give up, they win.

I told my parents, my brother, and my friends. My friends were pretty accepting about it, (mostly because they already knew what a brony was at the time). But the only people who really raised an eyebrow over it were my parents. Both of my parents are extremely conservative and homophobic, so when I told them, they both thought I was joking at first and that it wasn't true, but then I went into detail about it and explained everything, and later they knew I wasn't joking. My mom had a million questions that she asked me and by the end she was accepting about it. My dad on the other hand, heard me out, went into the basement, and didn't talk to me for 2 hours. He later was fine about it and went on with his life.

I went ahead and told my brother. We were talking about weird shows we watch and his was Breaking Bad. I said, "You're really gonna laugh at me when I tell you this..." and he did but not in a jeering way.
