Hello the ever loving community of Everypony.com today I come to you with a plead instead of a question.
A few days ago my Google Chrome browser apparently downloaded a file called "BrowserProtect" today my computer crashed during my sleep and when I came home to look upon why it did this the file name appeared somewhere within the critical errors. At the time I didn't know what the hell it was so I simply went into the program's file and clicked uninstall from the file. When it didn't uninstall itself I decided to just kick it into the trash bin and delete like that. Ever since then I've been getting this "Application Manager needs to close due to an error." message. When I see why, again, BrowserProtect is mention. When I finally looked up what it was I realized that it was pretty much a malware/virus program that the internet browser would install without consent from the admin at times. As iv'e said, I've already deleted (albeit in a pretty crappy way) but now apparently the application manager is trying to find something that isn't there.
Anyone know how to stop this bull crap? It's really getting on my nerves.

I've had it where I had somoething that was supposed to protect me but it didn't. It took Malwarebytes to get that sucker off my computer.
In your cause I'd browse google, if you are able to, and figure out how other people have managed to get rid of it. If all else fails, it's time for an actual computer tech.

Good luck! :) Hope it can get fixed!

    Have you tried...?

    - Pressing Control+Alt+Del and looking for BrowserProtect.exe (or similar) under the process tab
    - If found, click it and then click "end process"
    - Go to add/remove programs in your control panel and remove anything with the same name (BrowserProtect(e/or)) etc.

Depending on clever of a virus it is, that probably won't get rid of it, but it's worth a try.

    EDIT: Found this http://www.safebro.com/remove-browserprotect-exe-virus

The free version MBAM is really good at removing existing problems that firewalls such as Avast and Microsoft Security Essentials allow through either because the virus/malware wasn't in the database or the user bypassed it.

If ending the process doesn't work (as in it keeps restarting) right-click it and left-click "Go to Service(s)", right-click that service and left-click "Stop Service".
