A question for the American based bronies on this here forum. I am currently applying for a passport and I'd like to visit America at some point. If it were to happen in the next year and a half, I was wondering does the drinking law over there affect me? The legal drinking age in most countries is 18 which suits me, but I know its 21 there. I am currently 19 and have been drinking legally here for well over a year now. If I were to visit the USA before my 21st birthday, would I have to abide by the drinking laws there or would I be served if I provide sufficient identification?
You are subject to the laws of whatever country you are in. So if you are 18 and legally able to drink in the UK, you have to wait 3 years to drink in the US.
That might be true. I think. My grandparents raise and had legal guardianship over me since I was like 6 or something. Does that count? That can't count as adoption if it's relatives, right? Well, I guess I'll have look into this now.
Nah man, it's cool and junk. it just made me think. Like I never ever put thought into it before. it never crossed my mind. but *hugs* and such
