I have been under an increasing amount of stress lately. Generally I'm under a lot for a variety of reasons and most of them are the same now. However, it's snowballed so much lately that it's starting to cloud me and make concentrating hard. I probably just need some time away from the miniature Hell I live in, but in any case... I was wondering what everyone else does to calm themselves and clear their minds? All of my stress is environment related, so I'm considering taking my book, a drink and a snack and then riding off somewhere to go read for a while. Unfortunately, it's been raining a lot lately, though.
Playing VGs. Listen to some music. I only sleep when I feel overwhelmed with unfinished tasks. Bad choice but I feel better afterwards.
Fishing usually works, so does bicycling or hiking. If I'm really stressed, I like to pick a random person and find a way to ruin their day for my own amusement.
Take a deep breathe and do The Royal Canterlot Sigh. Seriously though, its a common response already, but Video Games is a big one for me. A night out to the pub and/or nightclub, playing fetch with my dog and even tweeting also work for me. I have a passion for writing about sport, so its an advantage that my only work (albeit on a voluntary basis) is something I enjoy and I don't feel under any stress in doing it.
Vidya games, music, internet. You could also try yoga, I hear that helps or your favorite food.(AKA pizza) Spoiler: or you could
Poorly. But anyway, I drink cool beverages or go for a walk. When possible, I sometimes like to simply stand in the rain. Basically anything that helps to reduce the intense heat I'm feeling whenever I'm stressed. :ahh:
I just let it out and I try to make everyone else feel as bad as me then that way I feel like im not alone
That's not very nice... Have a drink, go for a walk or do some exercise, and most importantly identify and try to stop the cause of stress. - - Auto Merge - - You don't seem overly pleasent either!
Generally a way i handle with stress/hatred is going outside, practicing my swordsmanship. Or i alternatively turn the system on, and either pretend everyone in cod is whom i wanna hurt, or i play soul calibur and do incredibly nasty combos to everyone online, that is if i had live. There are a lot of good ways to handle stress/anger, and since this is mostly about stress, i'd recommend acupuncture, ore even a bubble bath in a candle lit room, the candles being scented, a pillow letting you rest your back, and the bath full of bubbles, a box of bonbons at your side, and... that's about it.
I'm not a particular fan of brooding, so I'd prefer some kind of distraction away from "home". I'm hoping to find a way to move out and forever leave this place to rust as bitter memories.
Go to your favourite place, do your favourite thing, perhaps be with your favourite person for a while. Remind yourself that your world is much bigger than the current situation; and it's actually kinda rockin'... even if whatever this is isn't.
it doesn't do much in the short term, but for me, I am a lot less stressed when I prioritize things and get like a nice organized schedule going ... it sounds dumb, but if any of your stress is caused by not having enough time for things or feeling overwhelmed, planning out when and in what order to do stuff can help. As for dealing with specific things; think positively - focus on advantages and strengths and opportunities you do have, force yourself to look on the bright side of things. just tell yourself it will be okay, and then that attitude will help push you a long way towards making things okay. If you are struggling with something, get help. If you are alone, talk to people (there are lots of people on EP that would love to chat, let alone irl if you just walk up to someone and say hi). If someone else, family, peers, anyone other than your own brain, is the one causing the stress try to do everything you can to manipulate them to leave you alone, or avoid them if possible. If it's getting to the point of bullying or abuse talk to someone about it more specifically. I realize these are kinda vague - aimed at a wide range of issues, but the most important thing to remember is that if you have a positive outlook, and you try to take control of you life (become independent) and befriend as many people as you can, things can get better. And always there is someone somewhere that is interested in who you are and what your interested in, and already does or has the capacity to care about you.
With Speed Stick. Sorry, I'll let myself out. In all seriousness my stress got so bad I had to be put on medication, and helped a **** ton.
