I don't usually use group identifiers but I made an exception for 'brony' because I like the show so much. Of course after I saw the first episode I instantly fell in love with the series.
I'm not a brony/pegasizta/whatever, but S2 came out shortly before I finished watching S1. Which means I got to experience ALL OF DE DERPI DWAMA!
Hey, everypony! I just joined today. I've been listening to the radio on this site and it is amazing! So, about how I became a brony (or pegasister, whatever you want to call it): When the Hub first premiered on 10/10/10, I watched the first episode of MLP: FiM just out of curiosity. The first episode wowed me. Before, I never really cared about MLP because it was too girly for me. But as soon as G4 rolled around, all that changed! The characters are more lovable and believable, the world they live in is amazing, and the whole series is just really fun to watch overall! After that I got the Hub on TV and the rest is history! So basically I've been a fan since the beginning.

Hmm. I guess it depends on what stage. I watched my first episode, the first episode of the series, online back in January 2012. I'd seen pony memes continuously popping up on my front page on Reddit and wondered what the heck it was about, and of people were just being ironic or not. I went on knowyourmeme just to get a quick overview, and they had a link to episode one. I watched that just to see what it was about, not expecting much, although I was intrigued by Lauren Faust's involvement. I quickly watched the second, and then third, etc-- you know the normal story. So I guess you could say I became a Brony then, as I was quickly going through all the episodes up until then. I don't think I actually became involved in the community until either later in January 2012 or beginning of February, when I began following the subreddit. Once I caught up with all the aired episodes at the time, I found out I had the Hub and watched my first episode live, "A Friend In Deed", and also participated in the BronyState live chat for it Been doing the same ever since! Can't wait to continue during season 4!
I'm gonna have to say the premiere of season 2 give or take. I think it may have been sometime in May or June of 2011.

February of this year. I was bored, wanted to see what all the fuss was about, and soon after I became a brony.
I.. cant remember.. My first pony encounter was on 4chan's /co/ board. They called themselves "Ponybro" back then. xD But it was when I heard the familar tune from Art of the Dress did I start to actually like the show. It was so reminiscent of Sondheim's Putting it together. xD
March/April 2013 I watched the first episodes and started to like the show, also bought my first merch (Rainbow Dash brush). End of Dec 2011 I first read about the show and fandom.
I became one around June 2011 (I did everything but watch the show except for a few clips), but I didn't watch an episode until January 2012.
Had to go back into some order histories to finally figure out the date, funny how hard it is to remember life without ponies. Anywho, had seen art popping up around for a while and thought it cute, finally brought myself to watch a bit of an episode around February/March of 2012 (Sonic Rainboom I believe). Liked it enough to seek out the first episode shortly after and give it my undivided attention, was a Brony by Giggle at the Ghostly, though I wasn't familiar with the title till probably half a year later.
My interest in MLP was first piqued last March thanks to the many pony memes I saw strewn about the net, but it wasn't till April that I gave the show a chance and even signed up for my first brony forum. For a couple of months I was a "tentative fan" and hid my newfound interest from my family, but I eventually became enticed by merch and fell in love with the show outright, so...it was was probably around June or July that I was first comfortable with calling myself a brony.
I became a fan well after the season 2 finale, it was on December 1st, 2012. Having said that, I started watching the show from episode 1, season 1. I hate starting midway through a show. Might as well explain how the whole thing went down ... So there I was, browsing one of the non-brony (not anti-brony) forums I frequent. I'd been noticing it for awhile, the pony pictures everywhere. I thought to myself, "What is this world coming to." It wasn't for the reason you're probably thinking it was. I was disappointed because I was seeing yet another 'fad' popping up (was I in for a surprise). I did stop to look at the pics though as I liked the style of animation. One day I was talking to one of my bro's when all of a sudden his avatar changed to, you guessed it, a pony pic. I didn't think he was the type to get into the whole fad thing so I asked him what it was about. He said, "Oh, it's from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic." I was kind of shocked, "My Little Pony?" "Yeah," he said, "It's pretty good." Being me I had to know why it was 'good', "What is it you like about it." Took him a few minutes to respond but then he says, "You just have to look for yourself." Why not, what's the worst that could happen? It's not like I'm gonna like the show or anything. So he sends me a few links, I investigate ... Two days, no sleep, two and a half seasons later I replied, "Thank you."
Sometime in the middle of season 1, I'm not exactly sure. I started seeing ponies all over 4chan, lurked some of the threads to get find out why, and figured that I'd probably like it if I gave it a chance.
