Well I've seen the movie already. And I consider myself a hardcore brony. But unlike hardcore bronies I'm not going to say it was the greatest movie ever made. Because its no Casablanca. But I did really enjoy it. I don't care about what others say. A movie will not kill the fandom. And here's why. It was actually pretty good. But it's obvious that it wasnt targeted towards the brony audience. And with that being said. It was very appealing despite being made for little girls. Which is pretty much what MLP is all about.
I finally found a good leak and already watched it 3 times. It even had the credits too so I got to see what was special about that. I recommend it to any fans of MLP: FiM Spoiler: Contains Spoilers That gargoyle thing that Sunset Shimmer turned into was a bit over the top. Pinkie Pie is best transformer.
I literally have no patience and I cannot stand to watch the credits of any movie/video game ever created.
What about when they put outtakes of the movie in the credits? Those are my favorites....and Wreck-It Ralph.
Well first off I don't even go to the movies anyways. And second on the rare occasion that I do, I leave at the very end when the main character is still hugging his new girlfriend, because I don't want to stand in the line leaving the small akward space that leads to the exit
I just saw the movie and I loved it I'm very sorry for thinking it would be bad. They handled the whole thing very well, and I'm happy with it. And it just enriched the world that they've established, and there's a whole other world that's canonical.
I was happy to see the Crystal Guards. Another RP and fanfic concept made canon! Also... Twilight still can't dance.
Can't wait until this finds its way online. I intended to watch it online anyways, but the more I'm reading lately the more its killing me that its not in theatre's here! Also, as has been pointed out, please avoid spoilers. I don't want to read Spiderman's post in case it gives away anything. Just bare in mind a lot of us outside the States won't be able to see it for a while!
Without giving anything away (Seriously, just Youtube the bucking thing, already.), I'm going to say that I rather liked it. It seemed more like a good fanfic than it did anything else.
Did, all I'm coming up with are terrible shaky bootlegs taken on someones iPhone. Prolly just wait for the dvd.
Really, I just watched it on YouTube And by God was it terrible. The jokes were cringe worthy, it forced the moral worse than an anti bullying commercial. And the part where Sunset Shimmer Spoiler: what a twist turns into a demon makes me wanna cry it's so over the top I mean really, an element of HARMONY allows you to do that.
You gotta admit though, it was fun right? I at least thought it was on a similar caliber as the actual episodes.
The part that scared me was when they hinted at a show by Spoiler: What a twist! Pinkie ask Twilight if she has a sister in the city The movie was fun in the sense that you could predict almost everything that was about to happen. And Pinkie Pie was hilarious as usual. I do have to admit I chuckled at the "girl in the boys bathroom" joke
Well I finally caved in and watched Equestria Girls in Youtube. The result...I quite enjoyed it. I mean I didn't go crazy for it like a lot of bronies did, but I did think they did a good job based on the source material. I thought the animation was pretty top notch, the characters the same ol characters we all know and love just humanized, and even the music segments weren't really that bad. As you saw what I posted before, my biggest worry was how Spike would be in this movie. Would be annoying since he was a talking dog? Would he be a pointless addition and be reduced to one liners? The answer to both of those questions to me is no. In fact, if you can possibly comprehend a Spike fan like me saying this, IMO this was the best Spike performance in the show's history. He did what he was supposed to do. Be the voice of reason for Twilight when she ever doubted herself and stook by her side to the very end. I also like how exactly he got roped into this whole thing, but I won't spoil that part. Overall I give EqD a 7/10. If there's one gripe I have with the movie is Snips and Snails being evil henchmen in this puzzled me.
