let's see if this works also how do you find the ID of a user. HarleyCyn
Well the userid is in their profile URL, ex: member.php?1234 The @'s should handle this automatically, I guess until an admin can check on this you can use Code: Username
No problem, hopefully we'll re-gain full functionality soon. - - Auto Merge - - Trying this again, got some settings fixed -- HarleyCyn Edit: Okay working for me
Oh right, this got set up while I was off being a nerd and working. Time to test it! Miggy has an amazing forum avatar right now.
Yeah I'm not sure this 'mention' system has got much use past its initial novelty... Anyway, my question concerns the post quote system. It's nice, but it does two things that annoy me. 1. It notifies me whenever I quote someone. I already know I quoted them because I was there when it happened. 2. I have not yet found a way to disable notifications, so this annoying notification box won't go away until I check my post quote page. Unless I'm just being stupid and it's right in front of my nose.
Are you talking about the popup notification that comes up in the lower left? Those should only appear for people who quote you. Your quotes will appear on your profile page though. AFAIK that is intentional (I do not know why) and agree that it is a bit useless. Notification cant be disabled by users. It's a free plugin with limited configuration settings (intentional to lure people into buying the "full version")... :/

Yeah, but with Open Source you tend to end up having to code in your own functionality >_> //which defeats the object, class and method - hahahahahahahahahaha... hah. hah. Ok. Crap pun is crap. You could quite easily use template conditionals to allow people to turn off the corner box though, if that's what he meant?
I don't know if he was looking to disable the notification popup as a whole, or in terms of this product specifically. Former is much easier to do. Latter, idk without looking at the plugin src. If it's a thing people want, then a profile setting toggle could be made or whatever.
