My brother can't stop sneezing because of hayfever. I think I can rule out the possibility of sleep tonight.
That is a shame, really. Always sucks when sleep is dead. Also, updated my profile information, finally.
There probably are anonymous sites, but I couldn't help you there. The way I figure it, you're going to want these: Multiple four, six, eight, ten, twelve and twenty sided dice. Character Sheets: http://www.rpglibrary.org/sheets/blackmoors3e/images/dnd3_character_sheet_std_105.png Rulebooks to learn with: you can find them on sites like Amazon.com Also, you'll need an experienced friend who can DM. That's the best way to do it, as it can take a while to learn the game.
Thank you for the advice, but I still can't buy a rulebook, or the fancy dice... and I have no friends interested in rpg games... except my wow friend, but he hates every other rpg... le sigh. I will never get this game! Endless cycles! Self-fulfilling prophecies! blegh. edit- also, I can't see the character sheet clearly. My Mac is an evil pile.
If you go to a gaming convention, sometimes DMs will just show up and charge a small fee to get people started on the game and run them through their first game. All the items you might need would be available there as well, provided you had the funds by that time. GenCon is one such convention.
I am starting college this fall. So, let me rephrase this. All my money is going into my laptop, my car, and ramen noodles (which I'm not even sure I can eat anymore...) I will have no "spare" money for at least 2 years... I cannot travel nor can I purchase any thing, but I shouldn't be complaining about this. I don't need to play D&D, I just wanted to know if there was some less expensive way to do it (which there isnt, apparently)
Urge to kill. Rising. I feel sorry for my brother, hayfever sounds like a very unpleasant experience. It seems to be genetic, my mother tends to get it too, but this allergy seemed to bypass me. Thank Luna its not contagious!
The sooner the better for all concerned. He's staying up now so he can head to the Doctors for an early appointment. Hopefully he comes back with a prescription that will nip it in the bud for this year!
Back from D&D. One day we'll start recording our game nights and putting 'em on YouTube. So peeps can see how little questing we actually get done. lol
