There's something that I still don't get or understand even though it's been two to three weeks since I saw the movie in theaters and that is why is Princess Cadence in the movie but not Shining Armor? Hey Cadence where is your husband?
Because the core audience. They're not made to appeal to us. And god do I hope you guys were kidding about Sombra having more personality than Shining Armor. Crrryysssstaaaal. Best line ever, right? Because throwing your wife is so last week. Pretty sad they didn't have a cameo for all the villains as Sunshine Shimmer's sidekicks, instead of Snips and Snails. I get what they were trying to do, though, so meh.
So I've finally seen the movie, and I found it to be very enjoyable. The story was good (if not particularly groundbreaking), the art was nice and there were some genuinely funny moments. There were also some odd moments, but all in all, it's a good movie.
I just saw it and I thought it was better than expected. The characters are spot on, I loved Twilight trying to adapt to the new World. I cannot fault the message, in a enviroment like high school, Twilight winning over the other students to her side despite her "weird" behavior and the villain's campaign of defamation sends a positive message how being yourself is more important than fitting in, a important message for a generally conformist place like high school. I feel it was as good as it could be given the insanely weird premise of blending fantasy with high school movies.
I enjoyed the movie for the most part. They made the best of it. While it was filled with the kind of girls' cartoon cliches we were all so glad MLP: FiM originally avoided, the characters in Equestrian Girls were pretty spot on in human form, which is nice. Still, this could have been so much more if it didn't exist solely to sell to a bunch of little girls who are anticipating high school. Equestria interacting with our world is an interesting idea on its own, so it's sad that its official exploration was a money grab.
This version of Cheerilee probably never realized her true calling. That's probably why none of her flowers are smiling.
Yeah, yeah, I just found that out after my last post. Oh well, I'm not that into Flash, anyway. Just thought he'd be an ok character for the next season. But regardless, I hope season 4 will be a good one.
I started watching it, and did anyone laugh when Spoiler: spoiler Twilight cant sleep because her wingboner wont go down?
I was sitting in the theater and with my friends and there was a big group of bronies behind us. When this scene came up I was thinking "lol" but at the same time I was thinking "If any of you say anything about this I'm gonna flip!" because there was a load of little kids in the theater as well! Luckily they didn't!
