No, the point is, that the staff were unwilling to put away their past experiences when someone was clearly trying to change, constantly. It's one thing if someone goes and says 'okay I'll try' and doesn't try, but when it's as clear as day that I did, you have to stop looking from a one-dimensional perspective and actually compromise... like I was willing to for a time.
First of all, no one is saying you don't care about the site. No one has said you didn't care. Let's get that out of the way, dusted and put on the mantlepiece for all to look at and enjoy. Now Ramza will tell you that I've always listened to him. He'd bring something to me and I'd bring it up and it would be talked about. That was good and fine. That's how it was supposed to be done. That worked. If he brought it up himself in the staff room it'd get mixed reactions but it may have been generally put down because of a few reasons: 1. The way it was presented. Ramza may have presented it poorly or in a way that didn't show its full potential. 2. The idea itself was unclear. Many times people have brought up a point and had it stopped at 'why?'. The third is the one most people think of and that's because he has caused problems in the past. Before I go forward I want to point out that I'm not actively against Ramza, Rarit or anyone on the forums. I'm making a point that needs to be made because it's either overlooked or forgotten or blatantly ignored. Ramza has caused a great deal of drama and issues for users and staff alike. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The staff has spoken to him and told him not to do it again. He claims that it's the only way to be heard. The staff say that he'll be listened to if he doesn't cause trouble. He is quiet for a few weeks, a month or so. Something comes up, he feels strongly about it. The staff doesn't agree with it. He feels ignored and decides to cause a big deal of it which causes drama. It's a cycle that happens because Ramza feels ignored when he's not agreed with. That's the fundamental problem. If the staff doesn't agree with Ramza, he feels ignored. Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean you're being ignored. It means they think the idea isn't the best course of action. It's at that point you need to prove it is. The loudest voice isn't always the one that's right. Coming back to the point of this thread finally. It's fine to criticize. It's not right to complain. It's even worse to complain when you're in no position to do so. I think it's time this thread comes to a close and let the staff deal with it. EDIT: I'd also like to point out that every post of mine on my thread has been on topic. It may have digressed at some point but its main point is still there. Let's keep it that way.
Actually, his ideas weren't really put down. They WERE ignored, until /I/ brought it up. /I/ brought it up and it got spoken about, but then even after it got dropped without a yay or nay. Staff hasn't gotten better with time. It's gotten a hell of a lot worse. But no one wants to see that.
Damn right it has. And there wasn't enough effort put into it to change that. But now Tyro's the boss and I think he has a pretty good idea where he wants it to go. Let's just wait and see shall we? At least if things don't improve one can still point fingers and say "I saw that coming."
And it's a combination of everyone's fault, not just mine, regardless of how you want to view the situation.
This place is getting too flustered. I'm closing this down and referring this back to Admin for discussion. ~ Locked ~
