Says you. It is a blog run by you, I am asking you a question. The question can be anything I desire it to be. Plus normal questions are boring.
Well getting views and followers will be difficult to do. There is a lot o compete against. YouTube certainly doesn't want to help smaller channels get big, so that makes it even harder. Playing popular games won't really help. Like playing COD, everyone does it and it would be hard to even get noticed. But then playing obscure games might not help all that much either if no one wants to see it. You need to find those semi known games that have great fans but no one to watch. IL-2 was like that for me. Only Jefmajor makes videos about that I like. I think you need to find something like that. I wouldn't suggest horror game or the pewdeepie fans will attack you for copying.
I don't know. It depends on how much the fans of the game wish to see another person play it and if that person gives them something they can't get anywhere else. I've never really gotten into ever wanting to do youtube videos but I assume it's somewhat similar to getting people to see your art. It's gotta be out there, something they like but don't see often enough and quality. The more places you can get your videos the greater chance of someone randomly clicking it and watching. That's how I found Vanossgaming, it was just in a tumblr tag and I figured why not give it a chance. You could try all kinds of things to get your name out there. Facebook, twitter, tumblr, forums. As long as you can get links up someplace for people to see it and click. If you know any other youtubes you could see if they will take a day out of the week to play a multiplayer game with you. Like you and 1 to 3 others play something like TF2 I dunno. Anything to connect their fans to you, some of them might like you enough to sub to you. It's probably going to take along time before any real progress happens. Just don't get obsessed over trying to get people to sub to you. One more thing, you know some people from this forum that have tumblrs, you could get them to reblog your video or something.

So let me see if I understand this right: Advertise like shameless ponytutes by finding people with common goals to try to collaborate. Do things that are popular but don't do things that are popular. and something about quality
Advertising isn't bad unless you are doing it all the time. Like if you were to head to every thread here and shout "sub to me now". That doesn't seem very good to me. That link in your sig is perfect, tells people you have a LP channel but you're not telling them constantly about it. You could probably make a thread to get some traffic to your channel. Collaborating with people would help you if they have a bigger channel. The only problem would be finding people to do it. As for popular, if you would start doing COD videos do you think anyone will find it? COD is overflowing with people trying to make videos. On the other hand if you pick something, Trinity Universe, I don't think many people are gonna know that game. The audience would be small. You'd have to find a game that is well known but doesn't really have a LPer doing anything on it. Quality will be a big factoring in people staying and watching. No one will want to listen to someone that sounds terrified to talk into a mic. They aren't going to want jacked up audio or video quality.
well Im slowly learning to get better at editing, Im planning on doing something with janemba once he gets his mic, and after that I have no idea so I`ll be ffed. ATm im currently alternating between theybleedpixels and half min hero, every 2 days, schedule strict. right this moment Im editing today theybleed.
