    Welcome to the family, bro! As for what you need to do, just watch the show. There are 3 seasons of episodes and a movie to catch up on so you will have plenty to watch before S4. I was in the same boat last year.

Some tips I would give that would have helped me is you don't NEED to tell everyone your a brony, likely they don't care and it will save an awkward conversation or two. Another tip is Love and Tolerate is to a certain extent, if someone is being a massive jerk to you and won't leave you alone, just ignore them as appose to trying to defend the brony name!
