I haven't had a dream in forever now... Hopefully tonight I do! (Even though my last actual dream was pony-related... and very odd.)
Well, to be fair I can say I've read much worse MLP fanfics than the grimdark series, so I wasn't too disturbed... But it seems to be the effect of too much grimdark, amongst other things... Admittedly I haven't had any FiM dreams though, but it's just my opinion that: pony dreams>no pony dreams, even if it's grimdark. I'm not the type to have dreams though, the last time I had one as far as I remember was around a year ago.
The dream itself isn't what concerned me. I've had much worse, it's just that I'm not sure how other's would perceive someone who had a dream like this, especially within this kind of community.
Well, I've imagined worse, to say the least... admittedly not about ponies, but much worse. And don't worry, as grimdark is after all a part of the brony community too. But overall; dreams don't have any significance to real life, and there isn't a problem with anything that someone dreams in my opinon... ANYTHING at all. I'm not sure if everyone else would agree with me on that last part, but just know everyone here is friendly and accepting, and will accept you no matter what.
Indeed, no worries. No one will see you differently, we all know how messed up dreams can be. I think anyone has had those kind of dreams, me included.
Heh. How did Rarity manage to get off so easily? Do you write fanfics, by any chance? If you do, I sense a story. lol. All kidding aside, that didn't disturb me. It's just a dream. Despite what some may think, dreams do not always necessarily reflect your true or "hidden" thoughts. I posted one example of that on this very forum. It has a similar theme to yours, except no ponies. So, I know dreams do not reveal a so-called "hidden truth." You could've posted something much, much worse and I wouldn't think of you any differently. As I said, "It's just a dream." I had a brief brony bit in my dreams two nights ago. I was at a bakery and I selected these really large chocolate chip cookies. As I was getting my money out, the girl behind the counter and I were having some kind of conversation. Out of nowhere she says, "So, how did you get your cutie mark?" I looked at her with a surprised looked and said, "What'd you say?" She then pointed at the shirt I was wearing— apparently I was wearing the "RBD" shirt I'm still thinking of buying— and I looked shocked that she understood the reference. Then, she suddenly held a fist out and said, "brohoof?" And we brohoofed, then the dream went on to something else. Yep, that was random.
Okay, after watching Season 2, I had my first dream of ponies. It was basically that the Discord event lasted 3 episodes, and he let them have another go after they caught Rainbow Dash. They then found a swimming pool in the maze and Twilight jumped in it first, then Fluttershy then they both went into discord ;-;
I am about to fall asleep............. I hope to dream about something season 2 related..... last time I post here before sleeping I had a pony dream so.... ..... zzzzzz

I only had one pony dream...about a week after I became a brony...it's what made me realise it fully. sorry....but I don't think I could tell you specifically what it was...little too personal
I had mine last night for a long long time and it actually acted like Flash backs then a Dream. One minute i see Rarity and then the Dream changes in a split of a sec.
Several Weeks ago I was having pony dreams every second night, not anymore, I'm back too not remembering any dreams.
Okay, weird..... This morning at some wholly uncivilised time when it was still dark, I woke and probably had an expression on my face not too dissimilar to Pinkie and Rarity on the main banner up there ^ The cause? Some really odd dream about me wandering about looking for something only I had no idea what, and asking random people if they'd seen "something". Yes. It's weird, that's just how my head rolls (apparently). But the thing that WTF'd me so much it woke me up was this: Some guy sat on a bench reading a newspaper looking like he cam right out of one of those old detective novels - brown trenchcoat, pressed trousers, shiny shoes, hat etc... So I ask if he's seen "something", he lowers his paper to reveal that it's definately not a he, and very very pink. She says "Hay! Don't look at me, I'm not even supposed to be here! Duh..." Uh. Didn't see that one coming.....
