Ohay. What genre do we want to go with this? Slice of life, adventure, grimdark? I'm open to about anything.
Adventure tends to be more creative and help with literary techniques and imagination and can improve your skills, so why don't we start from there ? Also, we should make this a One on One, since it's me and Pheerthanite and Saul can overlook us as DM
Okay. I'm guessing this won't be another superhero RP. Should the adventure be a "Fate of Equestria hangs in the balance" thing or something on a smaller scale?
I'll just be there to describe the environment and play secondary characters, just like in a game of D&d. Well, my favorite type of DMing. The quest will be to dicover who murdered a simple farmer in a village named Dirt Ville, south of Unicornia. Era is the one seen in Heart's warming eve. We'll use the show's universe's background to make it easier for you both. And, let me tell you now, the mane six don't even exist. No chancelor puddinghead, no private parsy, no commander hurricane. They tend to take too much place in an Rp when involved.
Okay. How about while the Elements of Harmony were off in the Crystal Empire, an old friend of one of the characters comes to Canterlot and they find out that pony is trying to assassinate the princesses? I'm not exactly the best at coming up with ideas, so forgive me if that one's a bit lacking or cliche.
Once upon a time, *Crim's OC* & "Pheerthanite's OC* were sent by Celestia to stop some huge evil dude who has an army that wants to destroy Equestria, kill the princesses, blah blah blah and so forth. That is actually a fairly accurate representation of how most my RP's are, but obviously much more professionally made. Obviousally, i can do much better than this when creating a plot, but that was a very...very basic idea of a plot for it's story.
Could we make it work? A bad premise doesn't have to be the downfall of an RP if we can execute it well.
Trust me, i once hadn't slept for two days and roleplayed a D&d game in a MlP universe and i wasn't prepared enough. Result: we had lots of fun and i falled asleep when we took a break, and had to drink 2 energy drinks to continue the game for 3 hours before one of the players had to leave for work. That night, we all promised ourselves to never Rp when in lack of sleep again, even if the game actually wasn't so bad. But that's not the point- I'll stay up for a few hours and will be able to DM this.
Let's do it before i give up and go to bed, shall we? Let's do Pheerthanite's idea. Basic, and we could still complex it up as it goes. I'll open the thread in the Group Rps section; it's not quite a one-on-one with a DM. - - Auto Merge - - Almost forgot about the character sheets! ;-; Fill this up: Name: Age: Gender: Breed: Location: Ponyville (i leave you NO CHOICE.) Appearance: Personnality: Cutie mark/Special talent: Background: Any other important info:
Name: Melodic Scale Age: 23 Gender: male Breed: Pegasus Location: Ponyville Appearance: Look to my profile pic. A dark aqua with purple eyes and a brown, sort of shaggy mane and tail. A bit masculine in appearance but not that buff. Personality: Fairly outgoing, interested in music, usually calm and collected about things. Not too humorous, but he can appreciate a good joke. Cutie mark/Special talent: His cutie mark is a pair of headphones, a symbol of his love for music and talent at writing songs. Background: Scale was born and raised in Cloudsdale, where he was fairly mildly popular throughout school. He was one of the late bloomers in terms of getting a cutie mark, but he never really had too much trouble with people picking on him for it. If they did, it was easy to tune them out. After he graduated. He moved to Ponyville and got a job there as a weather pony. He makes music in his spare time, but his life isn't that special now. Any other important info:Nope.
