Album sales go to the record companies, not the artists. Artists get most of their money from concerts and merch.
I hear that a lot but I've also heard the argument that record sales are what keep artists employed. For most bands, the record company is what keeps them able to produce in a studio, so the more money the record company makes, the more willing they'll be to pay for that band's studio time. 'Course that's a moot point if the band owns its own studio, lol. I don't know enough about the industry to know how many bands do though.
True enough. I'd be more inclined to care if record companies would stop trying to force artists to write the songs the record companies want.
Half of the people I listen to are long dead. Why should I pay for an Elvis song? It's not like he'll somehow be getting the money.
You could resort to questionable things...like me--I mean...someone I know. XD Hey, it should be free. I fight for the users!
Don't use that word. ******s take that seriously. See, you're making it cry. EDIT: Oh... Right. You know what I mean.
