Network, what is this 'network'? From the very beginning, www.everypony.com was a forum. Over time we've grown, gathered a strong, loyal and rather large (in our terms) community and as such we've strived to expand the site with you, expanding into various subsections such as Everypony Radio, all in the aid of providing the very best in entertainment and social experiences to each and every brony. We found this worked almost a little too well, a lot of ponies seemed to think EPR was EPR, there wasn't a forum or it wasn't worth looking at/or not even associated with the radio. The fact of the matter is, the radio is ON THE FORUM and VERY MUCH a part of it. The network system is our attempt to connect the huge variety of services the 'Everypony' team and community has to offer in a way that is easy to note and navigate yourself around. We want people to know there is a radio, a forum and a media archive (etc) even if they don't use them, it's nice to know people have the obvious option and nothing worse than knowing some may be missing out on something they'd otherwise use and enjoy to a large extent purely because they didn't realise they could. Is this a joke and is the coloured text really necessary? Like it or not, this is no joke and yes I think it makes everything 20% Cooler! Does EPR no longer exist or is it called something else? EPR still exists and it is still very much Everypony Radio/Everypony's Radio - It's just received a makeover and been incorporated into 'the network' - The same with everything. Nothing has changed except the layouts, navigation methods and makeup of the site. Why are styles forced on the radio pages etc? Part of making everypony aware that we have a LOT to offer is the key network like navigation, you come to the Everypony network for x, y, z and a, b or c if not all the lot. To further enforce the idea that we are one and the same, a neat, simple but professional and uniform theme has been implemented - It makes everything look part of the same, which is what we want. As always we're happy to listen to and make further improvements based on your ideas/suggestions/feedback and reactions, so please if you have something to say about this say it or if you have further questions please ask away and I'll add an answer to those listed above! Enjoy Everypony! ~ Grey Nightmare
Grey, you might want to remove your signature to make it 20% cooler. Other than that, i think it needs more pinkie pie. On a serious note, it's beautiful. And this semen developed into such a nice fruit, Grey. I am proud. I would never have guessed a simple forum about ponies could develop into a whole network, including a radio, fanfics, forums and more!
So far I really like it. It looks more professional, and the color scheme is much easier on the eyes. I think it incorporates the unity of all facets of the Everypony Network quite nicely. I haven't much more to say about it yet, but so far I like the change.
All i can suggest is ^find a more attractive and less common font for that. Make it, you know, less simplistic. It needs to be about 20% cooler. But alltogether, Job well done!
Personally, I think it looks awesome! No complaints since it's new, and it certainly looks a lot more organized. Great job!
as I told you on skype, it looks great, very modern and integration of whole network will work great. great job there
Well, I've been using the layout, and I'm on the new EPR. I have to say, I'm loving it. It's very easy on the eye, and makes it very different from other forums. I really like it. Thanks for putting the work into it, it's definitely payed off!
Suggestion. Okay, after becoming accustomed to the new theme, there is one minor suggestion I have. As of right now, the hyperlink color is awfully close to the color of the text. In the other layouts, it was easier to discern a hyperlink from text, but now it isn't as obvious. I can see the difference between the normal text and the gray text of a hyperlink, but maybe it'd be better to change the hyperlink color to make it stand out a bit more. What color? I'm not sure. I mean, everywhere else the links look okay, but when reading a post on the forum, it just looks so similar to the actual text. Maybe something just a little bit brighter so it's more noticeable? I don't know if there's a way to change just the link color in a post, without messing up the styles of everything else. If it's too complicated, I guess I can just get used to it. It's just a thought I had.
I love you for making this place so great! But I also hate you for making it so addictive! I am having trouble pulling myself away to my real life commitments. I was introduced to the forums through the Radio stream. Even though I rarely visit the radio anymore it is because I much prefer the forums format of socialising and I prefer to listen to pony music during my walks to school and back. btw, with this very post I have officially been more loyal to this forum then any other forums in my life and I have been a part of many forums. *Hugs Grey*
I have been using this new format for a day or two now, and I definitely prefer it. I hadn't noticed the hyperlink issue until ePONY brought it up, but that could be due to videos being put up in place of hyperlinks in the forums. I do agree with his suggestion on making the color of hyperlinks a different color, though. Thanks for continuing to improve the network, Grey!
Yep I agree on this one, the color for hyperlinks is too similar to the normal text. If he doesn't notice in here, I'll tell Grey about it on skype.
