    Web Developers/Programmers needed!!!

    Howdy there ^_^

Lets get straight to the point... I need programmers to help in the development of a few sites that will become a part of a larger network...called the Poniverse...which Im sure some of you already have heard of.

If you haven't, just check this out: https://poniverse.net/

The Poniverse is a network of sites..created by Brony's for Brony's to encompass all facets of the Brony community. Currently the Poniverse is home to the largest Brony forum (MLP Forums) , Pony.Fm a brony music hosting site and Eqtv a place where Brony's can gather to watch new episodes of MLP, OLD episodes of MLP and any other Brony related visual content.

So anyone with experience in PHP,Javascript,Python...or anything really, we need your help to assist in developing other projects for the Poniverse ^_^

Please comment below or send me a PM if you believe you can help ^_^

You probably want to change the title to 'web developers/programmers' needed, as although it is programming people often tend to specialize.

You could also do with expanding on your pitch a bit more, I for one, have no idea what the poniverse is.

Also what's in it for these programmers? What do they get in return?

SYKOWOLF! Long time no see mate! :omg:
I can code Python well and I know a fair amount of HTML. If I can get an idea of what you need I can refresh myself since I have only be coding in Python recently...
If you want to reply to me use PM but I am rushing here.
I can help a lot with identifying coding errors but I can code!
I won't be able to do an amazing amount of work since I have other things, at September it's back to school  but I think it goes onto the part where they teach coding which will be basic as hell but will still keep my mind working on that thing. Still I can do SOME stuff in my lunch breaks and I still have time at home...
    Nice to see you again!

I second this. I'm a system programmer myself, which is basically useless in this circumstance. That isn't to say I don't know any other fields of programming, but I really just don't enjoy them very much. There's not enough challenge to them, in my opinion. :trixieftw: Although I'm none too bad as an application architect, so if there's a spot open for that, I might take it. :derpe: I even have a formal education in the field!

Darn got excited there for a second, thought there was a Pony related project I actually had the skills to help with. Heh, I have the same problem as Vinyl Scratched. My main language is Java, and I can work with Python and C++. However for your designs I'm nearly useless.

Do you accept HTML coders? It's one of the best coding languages for web development. I'm pretty good at it if you need a programmer.

HTML isn't exactly...programming, just correcting your choice of wording there. I'd also take a guess and say that they're probably covered as far as HTML and CSS is concerned. I think they're looking for people fluent in advanced JavaScript, PHP, and/or database management skills for dynamic web as that's really where the backbone of a site needs to go. Otherwise...carry on. :)

Oh well, at least they know someone to turn too for basic HTML coding.

Well, web programming is quite possible in Java via JSP (which is not bad actually), but I'm somewhat doubtful that's what is being used in this scenario. I'm told it's also possible in Python, but I really don't like Python. In fact, I don't like most scripting languages.
