Hello fellow ponies. I recently started making an OC for roleplaying. I need some honest feedback on him and what I should do to improve him. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Here are his stats and a picture of him. Name: Sapphire Blade Age: 21 Race: Unicorn Gender: Stallion Appearance: Blade.jpg I couldn't find a picture I wanted as his cutie mark, but his cutie mark is a kunai. Special Talent (If they've discovered it.): The art of stealth. Silence, being hidden, throwing knifes/shurikens, picking locks and pockets, and uses horn to apply poison to weapons and become invisible (Cannot attack while invisible so he isn't OP. If he does attack then he becomes visible again.) Bio: He grew up in a decent family but was an outcast from society. He had very little friends and the "friends" he did have left him. His parents never understood him and took little time to get to know him very well. Weapons: Kunais, shurikens, and a katana. Here is the attachment version. View attachment 7509
I cant help with the photoshop but I can help with the name. Most OC's names are connected to their talent and personality. So by looking at what you have He is quite a lonely, silent and mysterious stallion. So by also factoring his special ability here are some of my ideas. If the character is a ninja, you might want to forget the katana and go with a ninjatÅ or a wakizashi. If you're the creative type, you might also consider a weapon like a kusarigama.
No he isn't a ninja. I guess his ability is a little ninja like though. This pony has the same abilities I have. Sapphire Blade... it's got a nice ring to it.
If you can wait a day or two for it, I can draw him for you. I just need some specifics about his weapons and outfit.
I don't know what you mean by outfit. I guess a cloak would be cool. I can definitely describe the weapons though. I guess he would have a sheath on his back right leg for his black kunais. Kunais can be used for throwing or short range stabbing. They are very versatile and have some weight on them as to increase their throwing speed. They can be thrown spinning style (More range but less chance of sticking) or no-spin style (100% chance of sticking but VERY limited range) I don't particularly like the sheath in this picture though. His other weapon is a shuriken. While these weapons aren't as long ranged or versatile as the kunais. They almost always hit with a pointed side where as kunais when thrown have a chance of it hitting the side or butt end. Shurikens in actual combat are used mainly as distraction. Ninjas would often randomly throw one to make the Samurai try to deflect while the ninja struck him with his katana. His longer ranged weapon is a katana. Although the katana is a "longer" ranged weapon it is shorter than most swords. The curve of the sword ensures that it almost always stays sharp and it also increases the swing speed, thus generating more momentum and more damage. The katana's curved blade also allows you to easily deflect a sword blow. It was primarily used by samurais.
I could draw your OC with a cutie mark in vector graphics, which should only take me 30 minutes, and you get a picture in any size possible. But it seems that [MENTION=5399]Ridley Wolf[/MENTION] was already hired, and I don't want to crowd in on Ridley's work. Just tell me if you wish for me to draw it too. I suggest that your OC's katana to have a sapphire embedded in it.

The color scheme is great. He looks like he would fit in perfectly with Luna's guards. For the cutie mark, I'm just doing a simple four-point shuriken. I'm about halfway done with the picture, and it should be finished within a couple of days.

Here's a preview/WIP. Just the head for now, but the finished product will be full body. Based on how you described the character, I decided to use a semi-grimdark art style.

If I wanted something for doing this, it would have been called a commission. I just wanted to play with my new graphics tablet, and I needed a challenge.
