I just got a homework assignment where I have to go through an AI system I wrote as a student and describe how I would improve it. Looking at this code now, I'm tempted to just write "I'd rewrite the whole thing because I didn't know what the f**k I was doing."
Go with your gut. Find a nicer way to say exactly what you just wrote, spend a few paragraphs explaining what you did wrong, and then talk about the new, better system you would design. Assignment done.
So far I've gone through the first half of one of the system's thirteen source files and already wrote four paragraphs. lol
