Hello Everypony! Boy, am I working on a project this time… turning the spirit of EPRP into a 32-bit game using RPGMaker! That’s right, some of you might remember a project like this before that got scrapped because it conflicted with known information from the show… but this time, we’re just going way out there! Me and my esteemed and helpful writers have come up with an “alternate pony universe” situation without any Equestria or show ponies involved! Of course, that means we need a cast… doesn’t it? Well, that’s where everypony else comes in! We’re looking to cast YOUR characters into the game! As anything from main characters, recruit-able characters, villains, monster bosses, helpful NPCs, decidedly non-helpful NPCs, or just standing around ponies! Now, here’s a short synopsis of the game: Two youthful non-adventurers get thrust into the world of adventuring through an ancient prophecy involving them, (of all ponies.) While remaining skeptical or otherwise, the adventurers just find themselves getting deeper and deeper into a quest that they can’t seem to get out of! Finding many different characters along the way on their eventual quest to save the world, the question stands; can they do it?! Now, this game is decidedly “story over everything,” but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to give you the best experience I can. This game will be built in a style that will closely resemble Dragon Quest V, or Final Fantasy VI. (Basically, SNES-level graphics with more colors.) The battle system will be made in an attempt to mimic EPRP, but due to the restrictions of RPGMaker’s calculation tables, there are a number of things that will definitely be different. (Creativity is the biggest change. It’ll work more like a Luck stat, enhancing chances of critical hits, and increasing XP gain.) Making characters advance through achievements is near impossible, (and allowing them to be shelved and swapped would be impossible,) so we’re going with a traditional leveling system for the game. Now, let's get down to business. Before I show you the positions, you should read how nominations work. Nominate! If you see a position you believe a certain character would be perfect for, mention that character’s name, the owner of that OC, and what position you’re nominating them for! Careful though, you can only nominate one OC to one position, and one owner won’t have more than a few OCs in this game, so spread the wealth! If you see a position you want to nominate one of your own characters for, you must also nominate at least three other OC owners for different positions before you can nominate your character for one! Once nominations have gone on for at least two weeks, ponies will send in their character backstories and we’ll start voting. Votes will begin to be held for each position, and whosoever wins each vote will get the position in the game! Now, for the positions: Each category is in order of appearance. Good Guys: Main Character – Male: There must be a hero in this story! They shall go through trials and tribulations, and face dangers most ponies would wet themselves over! That’s not to say that they won’t do the same over the first few events, depending on the character chosen. Coming from a small town, or visiting a small town, this character should have humble beginnings. Main Character – Female: There must also be a heroine in this story! You will be able to choose to start in the mind of either the male or female character, and from start to finish, you’ll learn more about that character than just anyone else. Also starting in the same small town as the male. Recruit – The Priestess: A friendly sort, full of healing spells, she will force her way into the party and stick with the group until judgment day – whether she brings it herself or not. Recruit – The Hunter: Originally recluse, a character who mostly sticks to the woods, trapping and hunting monsters for a main living. Should the party do something good for this character, there’s a chance of recruitment. Recruit – The Knight: Originally joins the party to save his village from a disease, this character is a nobleman and a warrior of justice. Built Mustang Tough. Recruit – The Thief: Not really the type most would want in their team, when saved by the party, makes an offer to join the winning team. Recruit – The Support Mage: A helpful sort who joins the party in their time of need. Helping rescue their friend, this mage proves invaluable. Recruit – Big Dumb Fighter: “The Brick,” is another name for this fellow. Dumb as a rock and twice as tough, this one takes a lot to go down, and is dangerously loyal. Recruit – The Nomad: A captive prisoner who’s wandered the sands for a long time. After hearing the plight of the party, chooses joining them is a viable option. Recruit – The Tribal: A member of a mountain tribe, this character can be adept in a number of things. Later, they experience a great loss that leads them with little choice but to seek vengeance against the big bad. Recruit – The Pain Mage: Using chaotic magic, accidentally breaks the bond a chaotic cult had on his head, and then decides to switch around and destroy his captors, offering to help the party for good. Recruit – The Secret Agent: Helping the party out during a mission in another dimension, the possibility of keeping this character is likely if the group has room left by this point. Mysterious Wanderer: Only appears and joins the group by the end if they didn’t recruit enough to fill up their maximum roster. This wanderer can be just about anything. Major Supporting NPCs: Town Mayor: In the beginning, the mayor meets with the players, and ends up mixed into the chain of events which start everything, dying unfortunately. Town Priest or Librarian: Finds out initially about the prophecy that drives most of the game. This should be someone inquisitive, and probably wise. Helpful Traveler: Just so happens to give the party some info on how to reach a location quicker. Whether they take his advice or not is up to them. Ferryman: When all the ports are closed, this lone, un-attached ferryman decides to allow the party to go across a short river. Whether motivated by a just purpose, or by coin depends on the character chosen. This character also ends up requesting an additional reward from the destination, and depending on the player choices, may make off with it. Bridge Guard: A soldier of the local empire who’s guarding a bridge. Doesn’t let the party cross at first, but gets to fight some monsters, and allows the party across after they help defend the bridge. The Driver: Driver of a caravan that the party travels with. Personality makes it interesting. The Tribal’s Sibling: A great warrior that the party tracks down. Unfortunately dies in a tragic manner from necromancers. Friendly Dragon: A big dragon that ends up allowing the party to fly around on its back, making travel all over the world possible. 4 or so Ancient Warrior Statues: Just statues. Look cool, and be made of stone. Maybe make up your own plaque. Enemies: Agent of Evil: The one who starts it all, an assassin who, desperate to stop the prophecy that would prevent his deity from taking universal power, starts the turn of events which causes the adventure to take off. Possibly returns later… possibly. Guardian of the Temple: Either an Immortal warrior, or some form of Golem. Initially placed as the defense system of a holy temple’s antechamber. Soul Gorger: A monstrous creature that feeds on the souls of others. Lives deep in a cavern. Slime Producer: Partly made of goo, this creature produces slimes which attack the party and make things just not so friendly for them. Necromancers: Evil nasty cultists who raise dead things. They’re working for a greater goal. One shows up early on, two more later on, so three total. Sewer Dweller: A beasty which controls all manner of sewer monsters. Elite Assassins: Two assassins that end up ambushing the caravan the party’s with on their way into town. BIG MONSTROUS DRAGON: A monstrous dragon with no means of civility, but is really just an enemy of circumstance, led to thinking the party is its next meal. (Yum!) Beast of the Chasm: A flying creature that territorially defends an ancient mausoleum which the party is attempting to get into. Lich: An optional boss who’s wandering around the ancient mausoleum raising veteran warrior zombies. Stone Guardians: While they could be ambiguous statuesque defenders, there are four guardians in the Chaos Crystal’s vault to be considered. Guardians of Sandro’s Gate: Fire, Lightning, and Wind, these three elemental guardians are a main fight initiated by the guardian in the Land of the Dead. Death: Well… yes… the reaper, the messenger, the wraith. Those who have played EPRP know the current representative, but it’s not too short to think of a replacement. Eight Chaos Champions: Champions of Vir’Zixl’s Chaos! Half-Undead, and greatly powerful. Four Dark Lords: Inter-Dimensional lords of power, through magic or technology, the party ends up going into their worlds and defeating them one by one. Each Dark Lord can choose up to 4 mid-boss style henchmen after positions are decided. Happy Nominating! One of the Elite Assassins(If that's an option ) - Dynasty Charge (Because deadly-ish, right?) Oh! And Legion's Silver Shield for Support mage, Cyan for Priestess and...Hm...Give me a moment to think about a third...
First, I’d like to nominate Rexy for main male character. Why? Well, who better for the main character of an EP game than last year’s best pony? Then, let’s see… Cyan for Priestess. Healing magic, caring for people, and later a bit if misguided zealous nature? Perfect. :derpe: Then Quill Inkwell for the Town Librarian! I don’t need to explain that one much, right? Carson for Bridge Guard. It may be a smaller role, but it’s a good spot for him, I think. Ancient warrior statues? Easy! The previous admins, of course. Then it’s six statues, but it makes sense, doesn’t it? For the necromancers I nominate Quill’s Broken Heart, and Dynasty’s Dark Shroud. Broken Heart’s already very fanatical for Sandro, making her a perfect candidate, while Dark Shroud is a nice, dark personality. I’d also like to have Dynasty playable somewhere, but I’m not sure where. Legion’s Silver Shield for Support Mage! Shields, shields, shields! NarrowLeaf as one of the Elite Assassins. Just seems the type, what can I say? :derpe: I think Vince ought to get the Slime Producer or Sewer Master character position. He’s always talked about that sort of thing. Time to be selfish. Eight Star for one of the Dark Lords. Xizil for the big dumb fighter. Need I explain why Eight Star is good for a Dark Lord? I think not. Xizil is a zombie dragon, making him a unique addition to the group. He’s really tough to kill, but not good at much else, but he’s incredibly loyal to anyone who’s willing to call him their friend.

I like... want to nominate a bunch of my own OCs for positions... but... like... That isn't very classy is it? Silver (Ridley Wolf's OC) for the knight, not so much fitting in the story, but the character is very nice for the type of warrior a knight is in games. Star shimmer (Quill Inkwell's OC) for the pain mage, seeing as she's all about dark magic in her most recent version Dreamer (My OC... sorry) Helpful traveler. He can see every possible timeline branching from every choice anypony can make, and can inform the group what MIGHT happen depending on how they go about doing things. Jack Knife (also mine... again sorry) Agent of evil. He's an assassin for the gods, but has most recently been corrupted by an evil god, simple enough, have him be manipulated into being evil, then can be sorry for what he did, and help out in some way. Venquis (Crimson Lionheart's OC) Knight, mysterious wanderer, or one of the ancient warriors. An amazing fighter and ancient battler. One very amazing OC. And if you need a character that can add a little comedy, I always have my OC Kat Sabre who could be one of the assassins, but again, her personality is so quirky, that would be only if you want some comedic relief around there.

I've just thrown out that idea like this. To be honest, i'm kinda tired, but i'm up for some Rp anyways. I might say things that don't make a lot of sense, pardon me in advance for that. But your idea seems easier to DM than mine. Idea: let's forget about the plot. Crim's OC and Pheerthanite's OC are living a peacefull life in ponyville, when out of nowhere they're been requested an audience by the princess. They will need to get [quest item] from [dangerous location], while beeing [under some kind of pressure such as time limit]. Afterwards they are requested to use [quest item] to [save the day].

I've just made some nominations. The first list are my OC’s I wish to nominate. Dark Lords - Dark Plague(My): Plague is basically the very embodiment of evil and also my oldest OC. He’s very intelligent, considered a god in terms of his physical abilities and is known for his outrageous magical power. His dream in life is to rule the world. Split from his original 'host', Midnight Dawn and manifested into a physical form. Mysterious Wanderer - Venquis Razona (Me): Venquis is a Ryborian, a race extremely simular to a unicorn (Ryborians have a permanent white coat and have red iris) who are gifted with a long lifespan of 4,000 years and superhuman abilities. Venquis, despite being young for his race, is at least 550 years old and one of the survivors of a great event known as ‘The Black War’, a devastating 20 year long war that almost seen the extinction of his race. Being the last surviving member of the previous royal dynasty who were killed during this war, Venquis is the Eriborian (Emperor in the Ryborian language) and rules his homeland of Ardelan. Like almost all Ryborians, he is extremely spiritual and takes great offense to those who offend his gods. Yes. I think we're going to go with a "reagent award" system, rather than awarding bits from random monsters, and I was thinking that Mystic Heart could be in there as a wandering Enchantress that could turn the reagents into enchanted items, but the general stores could exchange the reagents for bits. So merchants are definitely a position we'd be needing... but this list here is just the main casting calls.
