Haha, never seen that one before. The Innistrad block was actually one of my favorites (along with Zendikar and Scars of Mirrodin). Miracle cards and human support, woot woot! Also Vampires, but I don't really play Vampires anymore. I play against my roommate a lot, and he plays Gruul. He just ordered over forty cards off Amazon. He's kinda new to the game, but learns fast.
Good to hear, as when I try to introduce people to Magic the only response I ever get when I try to explain the rules is "uh I'll just stick to Yu-Gi-Oh." XD I haven't been playing Magic for long myself, as I only started when Zendikar was new. At first I didn't understand what really made sets and blocks special, but as I learned more about the game, Alara and Ravnica became my favorite blocks because of Esper, Grixis, and Izzet. (I really like blue if you can't tell) And then Innistrad came out. <3
Really? That's when I started, too. And Blue is my favorite color. I have Reanimator, Azorius and Draw/Burn decks (all blue plus another color).
I'm doing the same, although it's less "Nightmare Night" and more "It's-close-enough-to-a-holiday-that-we-have-an-excuse-to-get-wasted Night." xD I even made some special, uh... "applejack" for the occasion lol.
Apparently, "gaymers" are a thing now. Basically "grrrl gamers 2: electric boogaloo". ...Just stop. All of you. Not just homosexuals, not just girls. EVERYONE. It has nothing to do with vidya. Ever. Just play the damn game. Nobody cares about race, gender, or sexuality.
woot #TeamZendikar Draw/burn was one of my best decks up till RTR came out. Niv-Mizzet obviously was a core card, along with Gelectrode and Curiosity. Then lots of burn spells like Flame Slash, Electrolyze (my personal favorite), and Shock/Lightning Bolt. Trade Secrets and Browbeat were also some of the deck's big boomsticks when Nivvy was out, and of course Nivvy enchanted with Curiosity is an auto-win. Such a fun deck type. I think the only time I've used black though was for its removal and control values, I was never big into using reanimator mechanics. I just stuck Relic of Progenitus into my decks whenever I suspected there'd be graveyard shenanigans involved and called it a day. lol

I hate "gamers." Don't get me wrong, I like gaming, but I hate playing against people who don't understand that it's just a freaking game, not a matter of life and death.
Just laugh at them and if they are on your team then make thing extra difficult. It's also understandable in a way, I game is played for enjoyment, if they constantly die or otherwise experience a negative outcome, they get angry. It is pretty annoying to constantly lose to a 8 year old because they can play the game 15 hours a day. Plus some things are just designed to cause anger, that Elizabeth green fight in prototype or the impossible game. Then again I'm not sure that counts as life or death rage. I can see that rage in WoW players when they lose accounts or whatever. They put thousands of hours into that stuff. Guy at work has like 4000 hours or something crazy like that.
How long have you been growing it? Because the magical wizard powers don't kick in until you've had it for at least two years.
NEVER regret being bearded. There are two types of beardless people in this world: Women and children.
