So everything's pretty much as it always is, I guess. - - Auto Merge - - Oh, there was no context for that? Even better!
True, but shows Arrested Development are a lot easier and cheaper to produce than shows like Firefly.
Avacyn rocks my socks, d00d. Yeah, there's that. I don't like her very much because, back when I first started, every UW deck I played against ran Serra Angel. She felt very generic. And of course, I always got asked, "Why don't you run Serra Angel? She's good!" and had to respond, "Because everybody else runs her, that's why."
Haw, hipster. To an extent she's meant to be generic, 'cause she's a core set creature. Fancy signature mechanics belong on legendaries like Akroma and Iona and Avacyn; or rares like Angelic Overseer, one of my other favorite angels. But blah blah blah I'm sure you know they do that on purpose. It's like how I am with Phyrexia really, and why I disliked Scars block so much. You either played Phyrexian or you lost. For story reasons they made it that way on purpose, but the whole way through I was pretty disappointed with how unbalanced it was; good Mirran cards were always either too rare or too expensive or both, and Phyrexia always had an easy answer one way or another. Innistrad was so much better because even though Avacyn returns in the end and powers up everything, as Griselbrand's flavor text illustrates, she still isn't an auto-win for the humans. - - Auto Merge - -
