Lately i've been getting the feeling that everyone is posting their threads in General Discussion, even if the discussion isn't so general. And yes, i admit. I noticed this because i too kept doing that up until now. I just wanna say people should start being more thoughtful to place the right threads in the right section. I'm not quite sure how busy the forum staff is, but i do know they at least shouldn't be bothered with moving threads around for people who are too lazy to look around for the proper sections, or think their threads will get noticed faster/more often when posted in a more used section. (no offense intended) I'd also like to suggest a General MLP Discussion or something like it. Currently every MLP based discussion has to be placed in a character, story, or episode section, but there's not really anything for the more general MLP news/updates/randomness. I think this is also why most people just post it in General Discussion all the time. But... you know, whatever you wanna do is fine...
I guess we are all greedy for responses and know that the rest of the forum is rarely visited. Although I use the new post feature to find interesting threads anywhere, I'm not convinced other ponies use this much. But yeah I break the rules with this very thing recently. But the moderator don't seem to mind. Just be more vigilant moderators and I will comply, also if everypony used the new post feature I think thread of interest will be rarely missed. Maybe make eveypony more aware of this.
It was partly because of this that originally sparked my "Thread Pruning and Merging" thread. Too many off-topic and duplicate threads popping up all over the forum. Excellent idea. It'd give the D'aww and your MLP funny thread a new home and open slots in the general form for general d'aww and funny image threads.
I think in general the forum tree could do with some rethinking as there are a lot of ghoat town forums and a lot of steamroll ones whereas it'd be nice to have a healthy balance all round. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
