I wrote a poem. It was written in German, so I cant really post it, but I can do a translation of it. This poem was done for a research assignment for Nazi Germany. If you feel it may offend you in the end, do not read it. The girl walks down the streets of Berlin She has no home, no life, and no parents Her brother has abandoned her Her father has abused her Her mother has killed herself Her sister kicked her And the girl was scared and lonely Along came a bard from Wiederhosen And he noticed the girl "What is wrong, Fraulein?" The Bard asked "I have no family and no home." The bard, taking pity on the Frau Played a song on his fiddle, and the girl felt brighter But she still felt alone A little girl was walking the streets of Berlin Her aunt had denied her Her uncle spat on her Her Cousins had frowned at her And she had no family Along came a barber, who noticed the Frau "Fraulein, why are you down?" "I have no family and no home." Taking pity on the Frau The barber took her to his shop And gave her a haircut The Frau felt more beautiful than ever And thanked the barber But she still felt alone A girl walks the streets of Berlin She is ignored by all but few And the few are kind The Frau sees a flag A Red flag with a white center With a black symbol "Halt!" thundered a loud voice The Frau turned around in time to see guns pointed at her And a man pointing, screaming "Jew! Jew!" The Frau screamed, just once Before a shot rang out, and all was silent The Frau's blood coating the streets In silent memoriam The bard played a song on his fiddle When he heard the news of the Frau The Barber was shocked And fled from the country The Frau was walking the streets of Berlin Her own people hated her Whispers filled the streets whenever she passed She was a Jew in Germany And she paid the price However She was now Never Alone Again
