Despite the fact that the USSR ( Soviet Union) has collapsed, it seems that the USA and NATO are still a co potion of some kind with China, Vietnam and North Korea. What do you personally think? Do any of you think that The People's Republic of China is the modern- day Soviet Union?
China is to dependent on trade with the U.S. to even consider attacking us, and the corporations that run our government are too dependent on cheap foreign labor to allow us to attack China.
I think the Cold War is still going between Russia and the United States. Refer to the situation with Kazakhstan as further reading.
Well officially it has ended, but still big weapon developers has this mad dash to be better than other. And I personally believe USA and Russia are the big guns still in this one. New possible threat would be China. Of course there is several countries with nukes and stuff but either they have no reason to attack or it would be really suicidal (like North Korea). As long this Balance of terror continues I personally think we'll won't see WWIII. And yeah totally just my opinions, based to my knowledge. I might have outdated info and even false info but I think this is the case now
If you consider the end of a war to be the end of all bad feelings on either side, then there are a lot of wars which have officially ended that are still going on. However, I'd say that war is really just a single instance of conflict, only defined in length by its participants willing involvement. Maybe there are multiple Cold Wars that have gone on between the United States and Russia. It's such a grey area that it's hard to say. The Cold War might be over, but perhaps we are still cold warring, if that makes sense. That's perfect.
