One of the many definitions of "rig"

I picked that one for its - erm, unusual meaning. Not its relevance to ponies.

    Computer/Gaming Rig

Mine needs an upgrade... But then I want to buy loads of other stuff to... I get payed next Friday and I should save... Decisions, decisions. [Read temptations, temptations xD]!

I've not been around much, on skype, the radio or even the forums - I've been here, I always am watching over but I've not had too much time for general discussion, as always its just a blip, things come up, some weeks are busier than others I'm not dead, dying or having doubts about the brony crowd or the site.. Just thought I'd get that out there for anypony wondering ;)

Don't you want your "own" computer? :Trollestia:

Seriously, a good rig is a good. Especially if you make it from scratch. Well worth what you pay for, better than the already made ones.

    Gotta love Newegg.

I don't know how to build a computer. I don't really get the benefits of spending more money on something that will be "mine" and the complications of building it and doing all that other stuff rather than a computer I just buy. I don't do PC gaming, so I guess that's why....oh well, it's just not for me.

    Sometimes you don't spend more.

It's not mainly for gaming purposes. I don't know how to build a computer at all either, but it is somewhat simple to build. Just look at videos all over YouTube.

It's practically like putting a puzzle together, but with delicate parts and etc...

This is true, you can build a better than "decent" computer with less than $1,000. It all depends on how much money you want to spend overall.

Which I need monies before I even plan on buying parts...

Self-built computers are almost always cheaper than manufactured ones. But not everyone has the knowledge or patience to figure out what kinds of parts they need or how they go together.

I know I used to be that way so I get what Zephyr is saying. lol

Putting together a computer is pretty easy, everything snaps into place then you connect the wires together and load OS. Piece of cake.

Pretty much. Then again...if I don't know what the hay I'm doing...I'll just ask one of my friends that has knowledge in building computers to help put it together with me.

My PC is not far from being a decade old, and it works like a charm.

All you need is the basic parts

    1. processor / intercooler
    2. motherboard
    3. RAM
    4. hard drive
    5. sound card, video card, network chip (although you can get them integrated into motherboard
    6. Case
    7. Misc.

You just gotta make sure all the parts are compatible and get a case that fits them.

That's the thing....I have no idea what any of that is or does. It sounds way too complicated for me....I am literally technologically handicapped....guess I'll use a normal one...

Pretty much. Also, isn't "integrated" a bad thing? Well gaming wise?

    1. Processor / Intercooler (I forget...*read Motherboard.*)
    2. Motherboard (I forgot atm...brainfart.)
    3. RAM (RAM...)
    4. Hard Drive (HDD; Space/Storage)
    5. Sound card, Video card, Network chip (Necessities. In order for it to run.)
    6. Case (Holds all of it together.)
    7. Misc. (Etc...stuff.)
    _____________

Wait... Frost aren't you missing Power Supply?

For a gaming PC, never have the GPU integrated into the motherboard. Ever. Oh, and get a decent fan/heat sink. They always help.

Everything in my computer is pretty much. -> :derpe:

Slow, but usable and still working.

Works smoothly once in a while. Maybe I should fix my computer up...

so yesterday for my Police Acadamy class we had to run a mile in cadence (twas tiring =_=) and i realized that we sing these little silly chants while running. I then asked one of my corporals if i could come up with a chant myself, and today she told me yes, so that got me thinking: can i try and get help from somepony and try and come up with a chant for us to sing that is brony related yet at a subtle level? anyone wanna help me with that cause?
