So far, only Luna and Celestia, as natural-born Alicorns, are confirmed to be immortal. If you remember, Cadence was a teenager when Twilight was a filly, which means that she is aging just like any other pony. Alicorn Twilight is here to stay.
That Twitter comment you posted could be interpreted to mean that the mane 6 will all become Alicorns and that's why Twilight won't outlive them. I hope you are right, now though that it just means that turned alicorns aren't immortal. Also I read somewhere Cadence was a pegasus then became an alicorn, so we know that it's possible for Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy to become Alicorns, jury still out on Earth ponies i guess ^_-
If Twilight, a Princess, doesn't outlive other ponies, does that mean Ponies can live for Thousands of years generally, whether they're princesses or not? If so... Sweet. :3 Thousands of years worth of Dashie existing can only be good. I guess it's also possible Twilight and the rest of the mane six get killed at the same time, by some very unfortunate event. I'd rather not think of it like that though.
OMG, Sounds more like a threat. Like Hasbro plan to kill Twilight for the salvation of Equestria, in the end of the ends. Or smth like this
Celestia can just magic up an Alicorn however she likes but it does not effect their mortality. As someone previously stated, Cadence was a young teenager looking after Twi, and now she's a young adult. she has aged, and Twilight will probably continue to age. I think Alicorns that are conceived naturally are like a miracle thing, or an ancient race that has been diluted through years of interbreeding or war or something. The possibilities are endless.
If Alicorns do have an extended life, I doubt that Twilight and Cadence will be any exception. Perhaps they mature just as fast as usual ponies, but once fully matured, just stop ageing.
As much as i do like twilight there is a slight thing that has been annoying me and that is a little while ago i watched a video on youtube about the mane 6 and it showed that all of them died including spike but except twily and it bliming made a 13 year old stallion cry.
wow, it's so dramatical. I don't even know am I want to watch this video, or not. I afraid that my heart will break, after this, and I would never be able to watch MLP. I will never be the same.
Dude after watching it i kinda put it on my blacklist to never watch again, but to cheer my self up look up nightmare night by brony dance party. Its pretty cool.
I feel it's a nice idea. She has grown so much since the beginning of the series, and has learned so much about friendship. I feel that she rightfully earned her wings. Maybe she's a little too inexperienced to be royalty, and definitely needs some training of some sort in that department, but overall, she's deserving of the title.
I've got no problem with her wings, It'll be refreshing to see her learn new things with her unique ability's. It's just the lack of context that comes with it. Will Twilight stop age'ing, what royal duties will she be given when she reaches maturity and what do the others get to compensate for Twilight's current Overpowered state.
She's always been taller than the others, and Meghan McCarthy herself has stated that she will not outlive her friends.
It's not about age, I know that they not going to make Twi immortal (I read funfic, where all mane 6 exept Twilight dies because of age, it's sucks) I'm talking about physical growth, so you said that Twilight always was higher than others? Because NOW she definitely higher.
Alicorn Twilight has always been a bit taller than her old unicorn self. Maybe they are making the difference more pronounced as time goes on, but honestly, I didn't notice any change in the last few episodes.
I think she is capable of handling the duties of an alicorn but I don't know if she really should be one. she has worked hard but it hasn't just been her the rest of the ponies have helped out as much as she has. i'm fine with her being an alicorn but Celestia better not make her princess of ponyville or princess of anything.
at first i didnt like it (i saw it originally watching equestria girls before she became an alicorn in the season 3 finale) so i thought it was just the movie creating its own circumstances to support the plot they made instead of building on the series itself but once i found out that wasn't the case i liked it
Should've happened at the end of season 5. The catalyst to her becoming an alicorn is my biggest issue. Completing a spell started by a unicorn....is worthy to become an alicorn? Yes, I get that she did a lot more over the course of the show up to that point, but the trigger for it just doesn't make sense. It really should have been something much bigger, more important, something to actually change the world or fate
