Coming from a previous forum, I'm used to there being a "today's posts" button at the top of the "Quick Links" dropdown. Here's the link for the automated "posts in the last 24 hours" search. I'd appreciate seeing it implemented.
It already is. "What's New?" links to the page you're looking for. Or if you're using the 'New Everypony Spring' theme: Second link from the bottom.
Well the What's New button is slightly different in that it shows new posts since your last visit. It looks like he'd like a link to be added that shows all new posts since last 24 hours, which ignores if you've already read the latest threads or not. I'm sure they'll be happy to accommodate this and add it as a sublink under What's New.
No, not quite. Spoiler: results of "New Posts" search Spoiler: results of "Today's posts" search In my experience, the way "new posts" displays threads is difficult to keep track of, whereas "today's posts" is predictable and always makes sense.
Haha, oh well. I think my screenshots might be more helpful for some, your description might be more helpful for others. Team effort!
This might help you a bit. This board and the "Previous one" are powered by different companies thus having different software packages. I know which board you are talking about also. The previous one was powered by IP.Board's. This forum is powered by vBulletin. They are different in quite a bit of ways. The only way I might know of doing this is installing another modification, but that is up to the staff team.
Umm... no, the previous forum I'm from was powered by vBulletin. I just don't know how much work it takes to add buttons to the Quick Links dropdown. As I already showed, the link I want there does exist ( http://www.everypony.com/forums/search.php?do=getdaily ), it's just the fact that the only way I know to access this link is quite annoying to do. Though if it's that big of a deal, I can just add it as a favorite button to my browser. I just thought other people might be interested in having a different way to view recent posts, as well.
Ah, then I might had the wrong board. I saw you registered on one that I was previously on. My mistake.
