Ah, the vernerable ol Rickenbacker 4001. I had always wanted to make my main workhorse (see what I did there?) of a bass a bit more unique. Now, I'm no artist, but I think this turned out pretty damn good! Practically the most metal bass I own, haha. It was originally a red sunburst finish. D'awh! Well thank ya! I'm actually on the fence about Pinkie Pie-ing my Fender Jazz Bass next... I dunno. Crowd reaction to the Rainbowbacker has been awesome though, and I've gotten several compliments after shows. There's something delightfully awesome about chugging through a brutal, utterly demonic, breakdown on a rainbow pegasus themed bass.
