So, I'm gonna be hosting an RP here on the forums based on Magic the Gathering. I'm looking for anyone interested. Preferably ones familiar with the lore and game itself. But, is anyone interested?
I know the game, but lore wise I only know that the planeswalkers are basically supposed to be what the card-game player is, competing against other "planeswalkers" (players) to be in control of... whatever it is they're competing over.
All you really need to know is what a few planes are, and the names of the ten Ravnican guilds. And those will be posted in the OP of the sheets.
Hmmm... it sounded like a neat idea in chat. Questions- do you have a rule system in mind or something you've come up with? Will it center around combat or have sparse combat situations? Will it be done in a chat where all of the players need to all be online at the same time or by thread where they drop in by a certain time to give their actions? If we all meet up in chat, will it be random days that everyone is free or a weekly occurrence? Do you have an idea for minimum of players you'd like as well as a maximum? Will it be completely serious or would uncommon or even rare times of silliness be acceptable where the situation won't be completely disrupted? I ask because the only RP systems I am familiar with are Dungeons and Dragons 3.5/4, Pathfinder, Savage Worlds, and A Song of Ice and Fire; which all have some form of a combat system and social skills.
1. It's a forum RP. 2. It's like co-writing a book, rather than DnD 3. It will vary in the RP, occasionally a war, sometimes debating. 4. It's like every other forum RP. 5. Minimum of 2 or 3, maximum of 6. 6. It's a serious one. So.... Y'know...
