Personally, I care more about the personality and intelligence of someone more than their physical appearance or gender. If they look all pretty but act and think like a Kardashian, Hahaha, nope. Get out please. If they look like that one kid from down the street who picked his nose all the time, but was incredibly kind and at least decently intelligent (I don't mean like omg A+ everywhere, I mean can hold up in an argument and just knows how to be a human being rather than being told what to do and doing it. I don't like sheep, to put it lightly.) I'd be attracted to him/her. Though the only sexual attraction would be towards males. Would totally date women though.

As opposed to Fred Phelps evil all the time I guess. Just got to know that apparently another one of my friends are transgender. I seem to have alot of transgender friends. I don't really mind though.
Yeah... Fred Phelps isn't what I'd call an "Authentic Christian" When you use a message of love and acceptance as a tool of hate and prejudice you lose all credibility with me.
And, as a man that's just rolling along with whatever my identity feels like doing today and surrounded by trans people of various degrees, I agree. Like a lot of stuff, some people like to cling to things that are 'Normal'. 'Normal' is understood and doesn't require much effort or thought. 'Normal' doesn't challenge us in anyway. It's possible that is why there seemed to be a thematic link between Bronies and the LGBT communities. It's weird, seen as effeminate and shameful! Yet, these men and women are standing proud for what they believe in, blah, blah...I stress this as a 'thematic link' and not anything more as I wouldn't want to sully any names or anything. An enjoyment of a TV show doesn't compare to an entire sexuality, of course. On the plus side, I feel like the idea of 'Male and Female' divide is doing...something. Bronies have done something towards a movement but it's in gender's depiction in the mainstream which seems to be budging. Very, very slowly. The Hunger Games has a female protagonist, Disney gave us two female heroines in one movie and 'Let It Go' that I can't stop hearing a 'Coming out' Ballad, the music industry has had stabs at a pro-LGBT song. A sitcom over here in rosey old England had a good laugh at Transphobia respectfully, I thought (IT Crowd). I am a strangely optimistic fox so, maybe the times they are a changin' for the better? It's just going to take a long time for it to happen. We're a long way of everyone just not caring.
I respect your opinion, but as I said, I do not share it =P. But for me I guess it's different, because I look for platonic relationships rather than those that I feel attracted to. Plus I am pansexual. But with that in mind, I will say I too would not date someone with poor hygene, and there are some things that 'turn me off' in a relationship. I would never date a man or woman that was unintelligent, rude, or bossy. So I respect our differences, but I agree to disagree.
Oh boy. I, myself, am a proud member of the LGBT, and believe people should be able to live their life however they please, as long as it's not hurting anyone else. And as far as I know, living YOUR life as the gender you identify as is doing no harm to anyone else, whatsoever.
Although I consider myself somewhat religious (but still not perfect) and believe certain things are a sin, I try not to judge those who are different. Regardless of my religious beliefs on the subject, I can't say that I disagree with someone trying to live their life in the way that makes sense to them as long as it isn't hurting anyone else.
Dunno if you were referring to this post, but I guess I just want to make it clear for those who may have missed it even if you didn't - I was joking, showing my distaste for people who use their religion as a reason to be hateful to others and have no other reason to be against their happiness. If you think someone's going to hell because of the way they live, that's between them and whatever faith you follow. For it to affect you at all is the fault of your own and your own only. Not theirs. Be more accepting of faiths other than your own. It might make the world a better place more than impossibly converting everyone to your religion would do. That was a general statement. I'm pretty sure most people here know this already and don't need me to tell them. I'm just reinforcing it.
I know you were joking. In fact, I agree with you 100%. I was stating (or trying to at least) that my religious beliefs help me to be more accepting and loving towards those whose lifestyles differ from my own. Maybe my post was a little cryptic. I'm not always the most articulate when I am making a serious point. Hell, I'm doing a friggin' TG comic, if THAT is saying anything!
Exactly. If your religion is helping you to be an accepting and open person, that's great. Those who use their religion to be hateful should have some conversion therapy done to make them less of a total bigot. They used to consider homosexuality as a mental disorder, can we start diagnosing people with bigotry? That would be awesome. Like how we have people who are "legally blind," or "registered sex offenders," we can also have "certified bigots."
That's usually how I feel as well, and that's why I get along with so many of my friends with whom I disagree regarding religious subjects. It's possible to enjoy disagreeing with people, because I'm allowing them to live their lives and be happy, which makes me happy.
Already covered that though, the bible says nothing about trangender people so those people are without excuse. I would even argue that being against homosexuality is a misuse of the religion and is compareable to the people who justified slavery on biblical grounds back in the day. There is litterally alot of things in leviticus that no one ever pays attention to and the arguments agaisnt homosexuality is picking and choosing of the worst kind. Unless the person also refrain from eating pork, working on the sabbath or any other various things that the old testament says you must follow I will not take any claim that it would be wrong to be gay seriously. Despite, I believe most christians would agree that this commandment from Jesus Christ himself takes precedence. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." It should be made clear that love for your fellow man and for God is in the end the same thing. Those who loves other people loves God and those who truly love God loves other people. "Whatever you did for the least of My brothers and sisters, you did for Me". Matthew 25:40 I think this makes it clear, whatever is considered a sin or not this never takes precedence over kindness to others. This is the true message of Christianity.
