I joined this way, way back in the early days of the site, simply because it had a strong community of genuinely nice people. I had been going through a rough patch in my life and felt like there wasn't really anyone who cared, so when the community here embraced me into it, I really felt like I owed a lot. Now I'm a mod here. Just goes to show how these things go.
I guess I joined here because someone asked me to and well here I am. I could be online more often but I don't really feel like it. You guys are probably a bunch of nice people and such but I'm sort of not the type to go around and annoy people on every occasion, although I sometimes do.
To be honest, I came here because of the radio. When I found out there was also a forum here, I went ahead and signed in. This seems like a good place here anyway and it's fairly new. Hope this site lasts!
I joined because I like the show. I didn't really meet fellow bronies until later, but I was there for the whole 4chan drama and wanted in.
I joined for the show, not for the fandom. I didn't even join MLP sites until months after I first began watching it.
A friend told me I should join an mlp site (since I love my little pony) so then I found this site. I checked it out and then I joined on January 12, 2014. Now I love it here!
I joined pretty much because I just became a brony, and I didn't really have any friends I know to talk to about it considering they are mostly anti-bronies and just non-bronies... (I do make all sorts of references to my non-brony friends though from time to time... It's funny cause they either automatically guess it is from MLP or have no idea what I'm talking about and I gotta explain it ) I only have one other brony pal in RL, and the two of his friends who I've not yet met... *and I probably owe them a bit of an apology... Long story...* Anyway, I joined up here to pretty much just talk to other bronies and just kinda see more into the community.
I joined because I watched a Netflix documentary on "Bronies" and I thought I´d do some research, the documentary made it seem so welcoming and embracing, that, even though it does make sense, given the content of the show, I wanted to know why this was happening. I´m much of a "conspiracy theory" crazy person, and I like the show, so I wanted to make sure that there wasn´t anything weird, or "brainwashy" going on. I googled "Brony forum" or something like that, and it took me here. I had to wait for a few days to get the access, so I did my research elsewhere, and I gues my research results concluded that it was a safe place to just talk about the show, and meet some of you guys. I´m very curious. Also, I work as Knowledge manager for a big company, so it was kind of my natural reactions. Please don´t hate me if I accidentally make behavioral experiments on you ...
After I got banned from Canterlot.com I went looking for another forum to join and then I found this place.
Probably mostly because I've become a little frustrated with certain aspects of MLP Forums' community. I haven't actually left there, though. =P

Some time ago, I found out about the site through Minecraft Forums thanks to a Pone thread in its general Discussion section. I've always been a forum-y sorta guy, so I joined up. And here I am, almost three years down the line. Whoa, how time flies.
Several years ago I found MLP on youtube. I later found out there was a growing fanbase with people just like me. I googled "Brony Forum" and this site was the first I clicked on. I joined immediately for the sake of talking about ponies, ponies, and more ponies. While my opinion of the brony community is somewhat sour these days, I still love the show and the ponies. I look forward to season 5.
I watched a couple of .MOVs, then moved to the show and a week or two after, stuff led me here, I joined and stayed because of a fellow Scotsman, who had mistaken me for a friend he thought had joined the site, haha. ( [MENTION=3421]Calvin[/MENTION] ) The site was fun, I became Staff four months afterwards, thanks to the Staff at the time for that chance. Left on New years, and I'm here now. The site is good in it's own aspects, some good some bad. I'm glad I joined the site, or I would have remained an ignorant child.
