Robin who was still in the heavens quickly pulled out his bow and drew back an arrow aimed straight to the head. He did not say a word but waited for this partially hairless ape thing to make a wrong move. "you know, I've never had the experience of firing an arrow in air imbued with celestial energy. I'm sure firing a magic infused arrow could potentially disrupt this atmosphere and cause something that I do not know and cant imagine." Darius however checked over the map. Due to his training in the forests on his family estate he was more suited towards heavily wooded area's so he decided to head and so decided to move a little figure representing him over to a large forest more green than the everfree but slowly becoming corrupted from the tartarus influence. "Okay, I'll best be suited for that area. I've trained a lot in similar places so I know my way round a couple of tree's and leaves." He then pressed a button on the side of his crossbow which mechanically pulled back the string and loaded up a steel bolt.
The Destroyer spoke a single word. "Burn." Instantly, the chamber was filled with flames. Nightshade was able to place a protective shield around Robin, but she knew that it wouldn't last long. "You need to take him out now! He's not going to stop until we're all dead!" Nightshade grabbed her father's body and flew back across the chamber. She could not help in this fight, but she could still save Silver.
(dammit) Serketh's face remained blank still. He pulled out his poisoned dagger and hurled it at the destroyer's neck, with deadly accuracy. "Silence. Lavannah!" The molten lava goddess swiped up the flames quickly. "We don't have time for a power-hungry moron. Move along."
Robin followed suite, firing a barage of magical infused arrows which each were fired towards every limb of the destroyer. He watched as the atmosphere of the realm reacted with the magic causing the arrows to be engulfed in a golden stream. finally out of the 10 that he fired only 4 landed each in his shoulders and pelvis. "I think ive found a way to increase our magics strength. you know what to do."
"What the hell?!" The Destroyer pulled the dagger from his neck, and looked at, puzzled. The wound actually... hurt. "That fool told me that I would be invincible! I'll kill that lying scum!" With that, he disappeared from the chamber. Nightshade sighed. "And then, Silver Crescent woke up." And then, Silver Crescent woke up. He was less than pleased with whole situation. "Damn it! I have died more times than I can count, and let me tell you, it never gets fun. Did you at least manage to kill the human-thing?"
"He was injured and he vanished. I could here him mutter something about invincibility and a lying scum but thats about it." Robin spoke to him as he help pull Silver up from the ground.
Nightshade looked thoughtful. "That... thing... was just a manifestation of a greater evil. An evil that made a mistake in giving it that particular personality. If I had to guess, the Destroyer would rather attack the thing that lied to him than go after us. Only a fool would try to control chaos." Silver looked at her, frowning. "This is going to be one of those things where you somehow know things that you shouldn't, isn't it?" "Yeah... pretty much."
Another figure had appeared between the realms, a ginger haired male. Dressed in all black alongside a matching trench coat, the human had been wandering across the realms with one thing on his mind, the elimination of the gods. At least five gods were left nearby him, the bodies of the immensely powerful beings being torn apart. Looking at their bodies, the power of the divines was nothing in comparison to his master. Looking towards the sky, he launched himself into the air and vanished.
A third of the humanoids had watched the destroyer's interaction with the gods, while sitting upsidedown on the ceiling. He was much shorter and skinnier than the first, and had short. trimmed, black hair. "Hmmm... Serketh... you've grown so decisive... where did I go wrong?" The figure was in a solid grey suit, humming to himself between his nearly silent words. "Alright. Best leave before they start hunting for "mr destroyer" and check the air above their heads." He stood up, and his entire body changed into a white mist, which slowly dissipated into the air. "Seeing as only those he didn't "create" can harm him... and he thought he'd be invincible... It's possible he thought he was ONLY going to fight you two... or maybe he had a misunderstanding with his boss... whoever it is. Clearly a minion of the god-killer, we need to be careful of any more of these who may be linked to others of us as he was to Nightshade and Silver. Obsidian, do not leave their sides. If that monster comes back, hit him as hard as you can." Obsidian saluted awkwardly, and rushed over to them. "This is going to be a strange time isn't it." Jack looked around at the rest of the champions. "Any of you also have a preference? Speak up now or you're going somewhere you don't want to go."
Silver shrugged. "It wouldn't be the first time." Nightshade grinned. "Allons-y." "What does 'allons-y' even mean?" "Spoilers." "Ugh." "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." "Just stop."
"I'll be happy with going anywhere, but Ardelan is my kingdom. If possible, I wish to return there and lend a hoof." Venquis said, brushing some of the dirt from his armor. ------------------------- While in the sky, the mysterious human simply looked around in the air. It appeared that there was nothing around for miles above the clouds. Disappointed, he held his fingers to just above his ear and closed his eyes, opening them a moment later. "I sense them." he spoke quietly before having a smile on his face. "With the gods murdering each other, it should be a perfect time to perform some wonders." With that, the human vanished from the air and appeared directly above the three nations that had been reinforced to keep the mortals alive. He laughed like a maniac as a red ball of energy lit up into his hand before firing the ball at Equestria. Once the ball began to fly towards the ground, seemingly a hundred more followed like bullets from the hand of the stranger. The moment the balls made contact with the ground, the resulting explosion of each ball measured in the same amount of destruction that The Phoenix Queen's super weapon once had, but multiplied by 20 and hit a much larger area due to the amount of energy balls that were thrown across nations. When finished, the three nations were set ablaze. Pleased with his work, he began to dissipate from the air. As if he was being erased from existence "And now to educate Tartarus." With that, he vanished.
Jack heard the explosions from where the group stood. "Looks like we won't have a choice anymore... Look." He pointed to the sky where the red orbs were flying out from. "Looks like we aren't going to be fighting Tartus forces so much as playing defense. We're approximately 20 or so miles from the nearest base where we can get in contact with the mortal forces in the main cities... Boys and girls, our situation has changed drastically. Pegasi, grab the earth-bound ponies. Unicorns, levitate. Everyone else, get there asap. Let's move." Jack's wings flipped out, making his cape fly up around him, and he took off without a single other word, heading towards the base, and hopefully not a fight. Demitry turned into a shadow and vanished into the light forestation just ahead of them, and lillith's eyes glowed brightly before enveloping her body, at which point the light followed after Demitry's shadow.
The figure appeared once more in Tartarus, unleashing absolute devastation upon the seemingly infinite army below. None of the soldiers realized what was happening once the raining balls of death fell unto hell. Cities were wiped out in seconds, entire armies eviscerated, the death of merely everything. By the time the armies of Tartarus did fight back, they were shocked to find the human had just disappeared. Two of the gods of Tartarus had watched the ordeal from their palace in confusion, until one of them felt a cold chill between his spine. The next moment, he was dead. The human had punched straight through his body, holding his heart with his right hand before crushing it in view of the other god. The other god watched in terror as the human pulled his hand out of the corpse and finished off the second god by decapitating him in a single blow. The human smiled as he vanished once again, heading back towards the Mortal realm. "The Hunter" was going for his next target.
A figure appeared in the everfree forest. A shock wave sent right through Ponyville, destroying all the centuries old cottage's that were grade 4 listed by the Equestrian heritage society. Stood in the centre of the forest in the middle of a large circle of fallen tree's knelt a Woman in a black leather jacket, red low cut T-shirt, skirt, fishnet stockings and black knee high tight high heeled boots. Her long dark brown hair flowed slightly in the breeze, her fringe covering her right right eye and dark red glowing streaks of hellish energy replaced some pieces of hair. (think like Rapunzel's magical hair from tangled but this doesnt give her powers only increases it to beyond the level of a god). On the left arm that was grasping the grounds dirt were dark grey and pulsating red pieces of armour straight off a Daedric lord. Not so long after her arrival the mortal troops of ponyville and cloudsdale arrived. "You think you are a worthy opponents to our kind you shall serve better as pets in my court. At least allowing you to have a comfortable life compared to the others plans. Submit and surrender and your collars shall be provided." She watched as none moved forward. "all right then, let me show you my powers and a second chance will be given. no third just death." She moved his left arm as ponies were trapped in deep red and black singularities as she sent blood red orbs hurtling towards those who were trapped while sending travelling red and black shock waves with every stomp of her left foot on the ground. sometimes waiting between stomps and sometimes stomping in rapid succession. after 3 hours of showing off her powers those who thought back had there bones broken to the point of death. while those who surrendered and submitted became his pets. black and red thick metal collars clamped around their neck. "Well my pets, take me to this ponyville and never speak only use the sounds and actions of a non sentient and obedient horse. Now take me, your Vanguard of destruction and safety to 'liberate' those who do not wished to be killed by my associates or by me."
The Hunter reappeared in the mortal realm, witnessing the effects that his associates had been taking onto the realm. The once blue sky had turned into a blood red mess of terror and despair, caused by the enormous wildfires that had been caused by the ridiculous war. Almost 75% of all of the gods had appeared in the Mortal Realm, the remainder preferring to stay in their realms and protect their own. With the gods wiping each other out, it was making the job easier for him and his master. Those that did survive the titan sized fights were on the brink of their lives, and The Hunter was the last thing they ever see. Just as the war was escalating, many of the important gods had appeared. His next target, Sihana, The Ryborian goddess of creation and the afterlife. If he caused her demise, then the war would mealy be overwhelmingly in his master’s favour. She was very influential to the divines, and her powers were absolutely phenomenal. If he killed her, many gods would fall in line. After what he discovered was true, she was heading towards his direction. Towards Ardelan to protect her own “children” from extinction. The Hunter vanished as he reappeared near Ardelan, ready to intercept Sihana.
The spirit walked down a wall next to the hunter and then across the ground towards him. "I think Sihana is going to be ready for you, dude. Like... I have an ODD feeling that this won't end well for you. Of course this is entirely my theory..."
"I understand the risk that I'm taking. But if we manage to kill her..." The Hunter replied before rising above the air slightly, thinking about his next words. "If it goes south, we leave. She can only keep up with us for so long, so stamina is going to be important. If we kill her, the gods will lose one of their most important" The hunter turned around to the mountains, seeing Sihana from hundreds of miles away. Yet, the speed that she was travelling was incredible. "Right on cue." The Hunter turned completely invisible to take his position. Once she had made it to a close enough distance, the Hunter silently flew directly above her and dived downwards at ludicrous speeds. Sihana had no idea what was happening, her mind focused on the concern of the mortals. She was completely taken by surprise as the Hunter drop kicked her in the back of the head, sending her plummeting downwards towards the earth below her. She hit the ground...hard. The Hunter reappeared just above her, smiling as he grabbed her by the neck and threw her skyward like a toy as thousands of tiny energy bolts slammed into her body like bullets. --------------------------------------------------- The Eriborian suddenly sensed what had happened, detecting Sihana’s presence on the mortal realm screaming in agony. Frustrated, he took to the air and flew as quick as he could towards the ongoing battle.
Hope was doing everything she could to protect Equestria from the forces of Tartarus, but it was a losing battle. In less than a week, the Equestrian army had been decimated, the few survivors forced to fall back to Canterlot. Safe, for the time being, behind the city's magical shield, she spent her days planning and leading guerrilla attacks, and her nights cursing the Eriborian for choosing to stay in the Elder Realm. Unless something changed soon, the Mortal Realm was nearing it's final days. Back in the Elder Realm, Silver and Nightshade approached Serketh. Silver spoke first. "I am loathe to come to you for help, but I see no other option. You may be a foul, dis..." Nightshade interrupted him. "We need Princess Celestia back. The real Celestia, free from corruption."
"Ah! Glad to see you understand the dire situation we are in. But death is sadly not my realm of expertise... Only Sihana can bring her back. Only then, could I free her from her corruption. Now, if you want to get her... you may want to hurry. It seems "The Destroyer" has allies... and they just took the first hit on the goddess herself. I recommend you hurry... Oh, and take this. Just in case Destroyer comes after you again, knowing YOU can't hurt him... This dagger is part of me. IT will be able to hurt him. I must stay here and watch the battles going on in all the mortal plane... So, please don't fail. I would prefer to not lose many more gods who I actually know personally." Jack suddenly flew out of the forest, slamming body first into the figure in the forest. He then spun around and sliced the chains holding the soldiers with his cape. "I don't know who you are, but I'm going to guess you are the god-killer. That GUESS is more than enough reason for me to murder you, so put on your fighting pants missy!" He laughed and pulled his unicorn blade from his cape. "Nice moves out there, Hunter... but I recommend you take the fight somewhere else because... well you'll see in a few seconds." The spirit flipped upsidedown in midair, and started whistling, waiting for what he expected to happen.
The Hunter felt his body move as he looked at Sihana in the air, already heavily injured from the attacks she had undertaken. "It's about time. I understand that you might actually be able to hurt me, possibly kill me if you are lucky." The Hunter said before pulling out a black and blue sword, the blade itself being surrounded by lightning like energy. His sadistic smile still etched onto his face as he looked at his opponent. "I was expecting an easy kill without interference. Of course, that was not going to happen. I knew that you would show up." The Hunter replied. "Now... Draw." The Hunter appeared inches away from the goddess face as if he never moved at all, throwing him into the lower atmosphere in seconds with incredible strength. Just as she would recover from the attack, The Hunter was close to him once more. But just as he was about to kill the goddess with a single blow, Sihana managed to block the attack using her sword, Yukobana. The resulting clash of swords blew all of them away, the Hunter apparently not moving from the attack. The unfathomably fast and powerful attack would have killed the Ryborian goddess were it not for having some fighting strength left in her. "Glad to see that you do not disappoint me Sihana. However...I'm on a tight schedule. I'm ending this now... " The Hunter then vanished from the area, before reappearing behind the goddess and stabbing her straight through the heart. Sihana's expression turned into absolute terror as she felt her life escape from her, her body fell from the sword as she plummeted towards the surface below. She was barely on brink of life as she fell. The Hunter turned around as he broke into a maniacal laugh. "The goddess of life shall now experience true death. Your days are numbered." The Hunter replied before dissipating from the air entirely. The Hunter left as quick as he arrived.
