I'm studying to become a doctor. An orthopaedic surgeon to be precise. For a while I wanted to be a musician, and recently I've been considering becoming an artists, but the path of medicine is the one for me.

Being a game developer is an idea, but there are soooooo many wanting to get into that market.

Mine is similar to this one. I want to be a weather forecaster, but I'm not sure if I want to be on television. I think I'd be camera shy. I have the opportunity at my university to try it for an on-campus only TV channel, but thinking about it makes me so nervous. I think I'd rather be one of the behind-the-scenes forecasters. Such as those that work that the National Weather Service or some other organization. Also, the other opportunity would be to be a weather forecaster for a radio station. I don't know, maybe. I might be more willing to reveal my voice only instead of my face as well, but I'm not so sure about that part yet. What I do know is I definitely want to go into forecasting.

Although this may not be specifically a career goal, but it could be, I'd also want to go storm chasing (chasing tornadoes). Either just for fun, or even to gather important data as well.

Hell tornado chasing is my second choice.
If you ever get that job, I'll be glad to join you in it.

Author. It's just something I've always been exceptionally proficient at. Either that or music producer. Although I do believe that becoming an author is much easier to achieve...

That sounds really cool! I would just love any kind of career where I can read all day and be surrounded by old things. They always seem to be more important to me than other people, but I don't mind.

My goal is simple. I want a steady 9-5 desk job. What I plan to do for those 8 hours is still undecided but I'm pretty sure it'll be some kind of computer work. Networking or something of the such

I like the idea of being a writer; a novelist. Unfortunately, I don't think I have the conviction as my mother did. My sister inherited that and she's a wellspring of encouragement, but I just don't have the drive, at least not right now. For now, I'm interested in taking (creative) writing studies in college. Perhaps I can end up as some sort of editor to begin with. (Reading a lot of these 5-6 star fics from EQD is encouraging since there's so many mistakes, even in the best of them :p).

Now I look back on it, my last post was dull and uninformative. I must correct this! All hands on deck, it's wall of text time!

My first choice, and most preferred one, is indie game developer. I'd like to be able to design and write games so that I can give back and put into a pasttime I know I've spent years of my life enjoying. I've always liked computers and programming, so I thought making something that'll make other people happy would be a far more fulfilling use of my talents then something I found drab and boring (like requirements analysis *blech*). The games I'd like to design would be epic adventures along the same lines as a Tales Game or Mass Effect, but knowing that I'm not likely to be doing that anytime soon, I'd like things which really make you think philosphically about things while still being fun to play. If anyone has played Lost Winds (WiiWare), something like that which is simple and yet memorable in what it delivers in gameplay and story. I've always felt games were an underused medium in what they could teach (both practically and philosphically), and while a few developers have tried (and some succeeded) in delivering this, I'd like to hope that if I can harness the full potential of games and gaming in enriching someones life as well as entertaining it, I'll have a job that no salary can match.

Another path I have considered and may take up is writing. I've always had an affinity for writing and try my best to be as a creative writer as possible, but I often find my muse is short lived and I'm unmotivated to set my mind on writing something longer than a short one-shot story. While those are fun to do, I find most of the writing I do is RPing. However this often restricts me to one character and a limited number of situations which, while also fun, often leads me to wonder how else a story could unfold, what else could happen, how someone might have reacted differently could have changed the entire arc. I feel an urge to write more, but either time or motivation usually cuts me short before I can write anything I feel meaningful. I hope that one day I'll be motivated and pushed to write either a linking series of short stories or one epic tale to the end. I've played with the idea of doing something in the arabian nights style of stories within stories, but again I think I need time to gather the motivation and ideas before I do so. With a lot going on in my life right now, I don't think it'll be anytime soon, but you never know.

Well, if you read all of that, thank you for your time and I hope you enjoyed me sharing a bit of my aspirations.

You seem like the person that would do better writing than making indie games; then again, that's just me.

Do whatever you feel you would do best! I'm sure you'll be great at both.

I studied for accountability, since I have an easy time with numbers, but I hate taxes. Now I'm learning game design, but my dream job would be working as a Game Master on some Online Gaming Company, such as Level Up! Games.

Truly is a remarkable ship, in fact certain scenes from the 2005 Pearl Harbor movie where actually shot from the deck of the ship!!!
To me though the most important thing and by far the coolest is the Pearl Harbor Remembrance area. They have a huge dedication that lists all of the sailors that died on the USS Arizona, it truly does hit you hard, hits harder knowing that some people will ask what Pearl Harbor was and why its important, almost like a slap in the face.

I originally disliked the idea of making characters act differently than their main personalities, but now I find it fairly fun to explore the options of mixing in other aspects and quirks, even if others don't. I always thought I'd be writing one-shots to start out, but all I want to do is write long stories.

I wanna be a filmmaker or a voice actor, I think I might be able to pursue both, but I'm gonna try going to school for film making :3

Really? Is your reading of Cupcakes in Ventrilo any indication of your voice acting skills? XD
