Take something you are competitive in. Pick a character/set/deck/etc... that you like purely on looks or personality or some non-numerical factor. Don't look at any stats, strategies or guides on how to use this thing, just use it. Whenever you play with them, tell yourself, "I am going to lose this match. However, I will make sure that they have to earn their win and I will have fun doing it." That's what I did. I used to be very competitive at pokemon and Smash Bros. Then I realized that I wasn't having fun, which is why I play these games. It took a LOT of losses but I think I've got out of that mind set, and I've found it's sometimes more fun to annoy people rather than play to win. Of course, be careful who you do this to or you may earn yourself some enemies and rivals in the wrong places, but like I said, having fun is the number one goal. If you win, then that's all the more lucky for you!
