Everypony Member Karaoke: Yay or Neigh?

Hello, everypony:

Eeyup, ePONY with yet another poll. It's as if I'm a statistician or something.

Anyway, I know that the EPR DJs are going to be having a karaoke night at some point, but this got me thinking. For the more active and observant member of Everypony, you've probably noticed that at least two members have posted karaoke videos on the forums. Also, since DRD has created the thread for his Ventrilo server, there has been talk about "possible karaoke," but I haven't heard it myself yet. I've only been in Vent once.

I figured why should the DJs have all the fun? What about us little ponies? However, my question is; would anypony here actually participate? I'm sure many of us have apprehensions about this kind of thing. Believe me, I most certainly do! I'm surprised that I, of all people, am even considering something like this. The goal is to see if we can get members, like myself, to open up a bit and not be so afraid to share our voices in the form of song. Nobody has to be a professional singer (I'm not!), of course. This is just for fun!

To the nitty gritty; The concept would be very simple, and a thread would be created for this purpose:

• Choose a song you like to sing to. It doesn't have to be pony related, just make sure it doesn't violate the forum rules on language.
• Only audio required. It's not required that you show your face to sing if you don't want to. If you feel like doing it though, by all means, go for it!
• Multiple submissions are definitely welcome.
• Constructive feedback is encouraged. Remember, we'd want to make everypony feel comfortable, but I don't think that'd be an issue for us.

So, if you'd be up for something like this vote Yay! (Yea).
If you don't think you'd ever want to participate in this, vote Neigh! (Nay).

I didn't include an "Unsure" or other similar middle-ground option because I want concrete responses for the poll. Posts can be anything. In fact, I'd love to read your thoughts, even if you don't vote. If you're one of those people that would only do it if a lot of other people did, then I'd just leave a comment about that as voting either way would be misleading.

The poll's also public, but only because I want to see who'd feel comfortable with it, if any at all.

I just want to clarify something. When I say karaoke, I'm not only referring to Ventrilo, but specifically a thread on this very forum where members can post their own karaoke. I'm sorry if my explanation had some ambiguity.

 

Heh. I'm actually going to be getting off soon. I have an assignment I need to work on. Confound these academic obligations. If you're still on later this evening, and if I finish my assignment at a reasonable hour, I may stop in. Maybe even talk with my voice! Especially if Saikyo is there and he talks. I hope he has his microphone today.

Oh, and by the way, in case you guys are wondering, If enough of you plan to participate, I will sing as well. I figured it'd be best if someone like myself came up with this idea because I'm the epitome of timidity when it comes to singing. Only two other people in the entire world have ever heard me sing, and they were my parents (accidentally, mind you). So, I'm anxious, yet excited about the prospect. What I'm trying to say is, "If I can do it, you can do it."
