Thats how it was, now that there's a new government is in place, the more Russian parts of the Ukraine(IE: Crimea), are mad and now protesting and trying to move at the very least their areas back to Russia

So this is how World War 3 starts.

No, no this is nothing like how Hitler invaded Poland...

IF Russia did end up invading the Ukraine, what little allies they have would leave them, and nukes are highly unlikely to be used; we survived the Cold War, I'ld be willing to bet MAD would continue to stop that escaltion.

I doubt they're thick enough to do that anyway. Everyone else would just curb stomp them with sane and conventional warfare.

Or lots of strategic bombings on military installations.

    Or both.
Either way; it would leave Russia much worse off than it is now, and also destroy their ego.

Wouldn't help America's ego, though. As an aside, our country's head could definitely use deflating.

So call of duty was based on a true story from the future.

Or we're just gonna have more "talks" and nothing will get done like always.

I think political arguments would be better if the politicians who disagreed had to dual to the death using only fists and the victor is deemed right.

Then again north korea could take over earth if they roided up kim jong hitler over there

It probably would actually inflate it; a modern day Russian-American war would see Russia's military likely crumbled up and thrown aside like a napkin. Russia's military SUCKS nowadays, it's morale is low, it's equipment is Cold War era at best, and their radar detection system would likely not pick up even a blip from our stealth bombers and missiles.
Anyways, the way I see things going is Russia and the Russians in Crimea throw a little fit that things didn't go their way and not much other happens.

America is the fricken galactic empire at this point so unless the rest of the planet went up against it they really shouldn't have much trouble.

I don't think that's likely to happen. Over the past several years, vocal nationalism in this country has skyrocketed.

I don't even care anymore at this point. Let them kill eachother. Its not like the human race doesn't need a good pruning every once in a while.

Yeah, things have changed. Maybe it's been that way for a while. Remember the months following the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center? There sure was a lot of nationalism back then, too. And I don't believe that there was an ideal period of American history, but there certainly were times when we were better off in some ways. On that you and I can agree. Strictly within the realm of politics, I think we need to spend less time talking about why we're so great and more time understanding that, in order to be great, we need to actually put forth effort into what's important.

    I don't believe we were.

Strangely, we have been agreeing back and forth over the internet.

I didn't know that could happen.

I like that video, up until 2:05 when he starts talking about how America used to be the greatest country in the world, which is something I would contend. Talking about standing up for what's right and striking down laws for moral reasons. Well yes, some of America did that. The other part of America fought to keep immoral things like Jim Crow laws and slavery. But those laws they struck down were enacted by America as well, so if they were struck down for moral reasons, that means that they were originally passed for immoral reasons (and they many at the time believed it to be moral, no less). The truth is, America is and always has been just a country, Better than others in some aspects, worse in other aspects. Just like most other countries, America has more than its fair share of shameful moments.

Just a rant about that guy's rant. :derpe: But I'm getting off-topic. Carry on!

Man, I almost feel bad for saying it, but I actually feel the same way... so I agree. Again.

    Relatively on-topic:
