That requires twice as much effort and twice as many decisions regarding colour schemes and what not. Sent from my SGH-T899M using Tapatalk
Now there's an idea. Make 'em, like, fraternal twins who are almost identical to every detail except for sex. Or, an OC that can switch genders. ... !!! @Rockout E. Stringer, GET YER FLANK IN HERE! YOU can be our mascot!
With all the androgyne oil that's been showing up lately, it's inevitable that our new mascot will come into contact with it at some point.
A more realistic option would be to have the mascot be non-binary; not only does it add much needed representation, it also gives the artist who ends up doing the design more freedom.
For the time being, I really think that we should just focus on the one character. When it's done, then we can create the R63'd version. This whole thing is still rather experimental. If we overcomplicate it, it could end up turning into a mess.
I accept your nomination, Thrashy!!! HAHA... anyhoo, I'd go with a mare since the show around which our fandom is based consists primarily of female characters. Just my 2 bits.
Because "both" or "neither" would add further complications to what is already going to be a long and complicated process.
Fair enough. Mare it is, for the same reasons as Rockout, basically. Then again, this site mostly consists of males. NOW I DON'T KNOW WHICH TO CHOOSE.
Due to popular request. I was asked to put this on this thread and give it a chance at being the mascot.
@HydroAmbience That's, like, Murphy's Law in pony form. Everything that can be done wrong with an OC...was done wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong.
Ah, yes. And not just gradients where they might be halfway acceptable, like giving the mane some highlights. Giving the hooves a gradient for absolutely no reason is a must. ...And normally I'd make some remark about heterochromia, but those rainbow-colored eyes seem to make that a moot point.
